Anyone carry holsterless?

In fact I didn't even say I was opposed to CCW. (edit- there are reasons for and against it, IMHO)
Please go back and read what I said in my first post and my second and then tell me if you disagree.

My fault if I misinterpreted your statements I take back my

. But I do think a CCW could be used as another form of ID if needed, but not to threaten or impress a clerk. 🙂

I also "accidentally" give my CCW permit to clerks that are being a PIA when they ask for my DL.

So when a clerk wants to see your DL to verify your identity when using a credit card (which is as much for your good as their company's), you feel the need to imply a threat to their physical well-being. Well done!

<=== in favor of responsible gun ownership (not in favor of Pliablemoose owning one)

Strangely enough, a CCW permit in TX is a valid form of ID. It must be presented to law enforcement when you're stopped for ANY reason & you must state clearly wether or not you're carrying. For convenience, I have a dab of silicone sealant between DL & CCW permit to prevent being shot if I'm pulled over by law enforcement.

If you have a problem with any of what I've said/do, call your freaking congressman or join up with Handguns Inc, they're about to go under after 9-11. Seems there just aren't that many vocal anti gun folks around since then.

Don't have a problem with that but you implied (beat people over the head with) the fact you used it as a tool for which it is not intended

Or you could wait a few years till you're old enough to vote...

ohh *zing*

wow...got me there...

LA-LA-La....(back to topic)... If you have some thin sheet steel and some tools lying around it's easy to make a belt clip for a semi-auto. Just cut a thin piece to hit the screws under the grip and leave some extra metal up top to bend back over into a clip.. Yeah it's a poor mans solution but it's easy to make (about an hour is you burnish the edges) and works until you get your rig in.

Of course there are. It's hard to hear them though above the din of the paranoia that has taken hold of the country.

Why would the fact that a person is carrying a gun make things go easier ? The only possible reason is if there is a threat to use the gun if I don't get my way.
Which of course is the real reason that dickless people want to carry guns anyway, not to protect themselves.

Hey mister clerk, I'm a badass with a CCW so you better give me some service. If someone tried that with me, I'd refuse to give them any service at all.

You make no sense, my reason for carrying has nothing to do with having a dick or not. I've used my permit as ID in the past, even when I'm not carrying. Why the hell not, it's got my picture and my damn fingerprint on it. I recently lost my atm/credit card, I needed to cash a check out-of-state the bank clerk asked for 3 forms of ID(DL, CC and CCW). All was fine. Thanks for your concern on my reasons for carrying, but you'll never know when or if I'm packing.

Great idea, I found this:

Clip Draw I think I'll call tomorrow ask about fitting to a MK9, 🙂.

Ouch...

One of the more popular here is SOB, you can get away with shorts & a t-shirt in the summer. Also in the summertime, if you see a guy wearing a fanny-pack, it's a pretty sure bet there's a gun in it.

Pager Pal is pretty popular too, most folks replace the dummy pager with a real one.

What kind of holster did you order?

I have a Sidearmor (sp) IWB (inside the waste band) for Glock 26 & it's never been very comfortable. Haven't used it much & haven't tried to get accustomed to it cuz it's my wife's gun (she keeps it in her purse most of the time).

Moose,
I ordered a DeSantis I think? Or maybe it was an Alessi? I was at the range, he had none, so I told him to order a popular model in case I don't like it. He could easily retail it if I'm not happy. I'm really liking the Fist holsters I saw online. I like their IWB w/ a cant.

Nice Glock. I'll probably get one myself when I am old enough. Have you ever tried shooting it under water?

Someone needs to post a link to the video of that😀

Don't you need a special firing pin kit to fire a Glock underwater? I have managed to fire my old Sig underwater. Don't know exactly why I did that, but it did work once.

It's possible to do but not recommended. Nothing special about it parts wise. It's just one of those marketing things.

Anyways are you looking for inside waist band (IWB), pocket, or just regular?

Where do you guys live that you feel that you have to carry to protect yourself so much? You guys just troll ghettos or something?
Pull your head out of your hiney and get a breath of fresh air. Not everyone on here works in the nicest parts of town. What about jewelers? I have section 8 rent houses in the ghetto part of town. Have people working on them or are over there with expensive tools or moving things like A/C units. My fathers business is in an old part of town that has high crime. It's been there over 50 years and is several warehouses. Is he just supposed to spend millions on a new place in a better part of town and away from many of his buyers?

What are you some kind of gang banger? Carry like you have some respect for the weapon and sense of responsiblity. I know cops who would arrest you as a profile violation just to make your life hell a couple hours for being so stupid.

how would u carry it holsterless? I mean just stick it in ur pants? If you did that...i'd be worried about a certain discomfort the gun could cause if it went off. 😕

You can easily carry Keltecs and stuff like that in a pocket without a holster. It'd be difficult to accidentally discharge a modern handgun by just having it in your pocket. The Keltecs have like a 10lb trigger, your 1911s have the thumb safety, Glocks the trigger safety, etc. Things would have to be in perfect alignment with the moon and stars for them to go off.
