Anyone carry holsterless?

It seems like it would be the same as carrying with it just stuck in your pants but you don?t have to worry about it falling down your pants leg. 🙂

Eaxctly, not too comfortable.

I use a Taurus 85UL & Uncke Mike's Pocket Holster.

I also "accidentally" give my CCW permit to clerks that are being a PIA when they ask for my DL...

BTW, Mooseknuckle are we related? My dad (bullmoose) got around...

This is, essentially, an insecure and unwise way to carry a firearm on your person, and the predominant reason why we have so many publicized examples of politicians, shoppers, restaurant and movie go-ers whose insecure handguns fall out of their pockets while bending over, sitting down, or getting up, removing/donning their coats, and crash to the floor with a loud room-stopping clunk, causing people around them to be concerned for their own safety, if not panic briefly.

That isn't counting what happens privately that we don't hear about on the news.

Thank goodness this problem seems limited to a decidedly small and unusually stupid percentage of CCW permit holders vs. a larger percentage of them.

I'm pretty happy with the UM Pocket Holster, I just have to be careful to buy pants/shorts that have deep front pockets. I smothed my UL85 so it doesn't catch on anything when drawing from my pocket, ie: milled the hammer tang off, replaced the grips with wooden smooth ones, etc. An old trick for pocket guns.

I'd really prefer to have a shoulder rig & my Glock 22C, but in TX in the summer it's almost impossible. guess I could find my HS army jacket with the fabulous furry freak brothers on the back, but I'd just get stopped by the police constantly😉

A good example why CCW should be illegal.

Why? It's not as if he plans to shoot them. It just makes things go easier.

Good thing the politicians in TX don't agree with you.

Things are going to get interesting very soon, we're going to have to let the less violent criminals out of prison since the economy sucks so bad, we can't afford to keep everyone locked up. Hope you don't like your car or anything that isn't nailed down, we're (the US) going to be a lot more like the UK soon with "non-violent" crimes on the rise.

Better get crackin, then. CCW is now legal in 32 states, representing more than 65% of the U.S. population, and growing...

I wonder why the streets haven?t turned into the Wild West yet like the Anti-gun zealots said they would. It seems like the only place there are high gun related crime rates are where Anti-gun folks have had their way. 🙂

That's all the more reason to have a National CCW permit. If it was national, then maybe most clerks would realize what the hell they're looking at when it's presented to them as a form of ID.

"Why? It's not as if he plans to shoot them. It just makes things go easier"

Why would the fact that a person is carrying a gun make things go easier ? The only possible reason is if there is a threat to use the gun if I don't get my way.
Which of course is the real reason that dickless people want to carry guns anyway, not to protect themselves.

Hey mister clerk, I'm a badass with a CCW so you better give me some service. If someone tried that with me, I'd refuse to give them any service at all.

Or course all people who carry CCW permits are dickless.

Tell me how many times you?ve actually even seen a person carrying a gun. Most people who carry don?t advertise the fact that they do because they don?t want to be hassled.

That could be taken as a threat. I am a believer in the right to carry, however things like what you state you are doing are WHY there is a lot of resistance to the right to carry. Exactly how concealed are you if you are flaunting the fact you have a permit? Use your brain. Ignore the PIA clerk, or report them to a manager. Don't imply that you will use a firearm by showing your permit.

I didn't say that.
In fact I didn't even say I was opposed to CCW. (edit- there are reasons for and against it, IMHO)
Please go back and read what I said in my first post and my second and then tell me if you disagree.

Wow, your a fine example of a good gun owner.

Or course all people who carry CCW permits are dickless.

Well in the case of the above statement...true. There is no good reason for him to give his CCW permit and its people like him that shouldn't have one.

Anyone carry Mexican?

Not a very safe way to carry. I am going to assume you have a permit to carry and that you have the training behind you that would allow you to carry safely. That training should be all you need to let you know how unsafe mexican carry is. Go to your local gun store (if you have one) and get a cheap bellyband for the short term until your regular holster comes.
