Anyone buy the exact same pair of shoes every year?

I'm not as particular with the brand anymore, but I still only wear boat shoes, or similar. I always preferred Sebago brand, but now I'll get any kind that are made in America.

Black Ecco tennies. Unfortunately they stopped making them so I stooped to buying them off ebay last year.

I own fewer shoes than any girl I know. NOTHING puts me in a worse mood than having to shoe shop.

I generally buy different shoes just to mix it up. Before my newest pair i'd been getting these white basketball shoes with red trim (about three or four years in the wearing), until i decided to switch it up and get a pair of smaller black adidas soccer shoes. I like.

wow...every year??

Don't think I've bought a pair in the last 4-5 years now that I think about it.

*edit*

It must not snow much in Seattle. Here in the midwest, there is dirty snow and gravel from the snow plows and my now 9 month old 993s look like they've been through a war. Filthy and falling apart already. I like my New Balances fresh and clean. ;)

i just buy whatever decent sneakers i can find for cheap (on sale or clearance). new balances and sauconies are both nice for me. sketchers are pretty good. nike, reebok, et al, usually not.

i tear shoes to hell in under a year, so i don't get too attached and am not picky.

I've had my Dr. Martins and Birkenstocks for 11 years now. My gym shoes for roughly 3 years, my dress shoes for 2. I have a relatively newer pair of running shoes and other dressy shoes for going out.

My first pair of Eccos lasted me 5 or 6 years, which is why I keep buying them when I can find them. :)

I bought the same pair of NB shoes once since it was semi hard to find a shoe in the 4e width for me.

i only wear 2 types of shoes: flip flops (reef) and leather shoes (rockport)

regarding the OP, i've bought the same pair of reefs 3x now. but this next time i'm gonna switch it up a bit, and probably get something new. the tatami mat ones looked kinda cool..but they gone now... mainly i'm looking for something that will stop staining my feet black.

I'm on my 4th pair of the same climbing shoes (Mad Rock Flash) since 2005. The 5th is sitting in a box waiting to get broken in.

You need to buy better shoes/boots, I generally buy some form of hiking boots and they tend to last several years. also it help to have more than one pair, they tend to last longer that way.

bought my last pair last year only because one of our dogs chewed the hell out of a pair of puma i had.

I'm fairly particular about my shoes and boots, but it's not always easy to get the same model. I prefer Saucony for running, HiTec for hiking and LaSportiva for climbing, but am willing to experiment. As for dress shoes, anything that's comfortable and not butt ugly.

OP how old are you?

I'm fairly confident that those shoes weren't even around when I was 17.

Oddly enough I had the same exact pair of shoes now but no way in hell will I be replacing them once a year. I wear shoes until they can't be worn anymore.

and i'll wear it for atleast another 2 years. normal shoes are just a pair of
new balance/nike/reebok or whatever sneaker i find that looks good, is cheap and fits me. i don't wear sneakers much these days...

Nope. By the time my shoes wear out, they're no longer available. Guess that's how it goes when you have 8 pairs.
