It's been out for a week I think, but came back Friday, the died again. Think they got hacked, was some stupid "we own you" message, or something along those lines, Friday night.

The "it's broken" sign that they've had up for the past couple of days has now been replaced with a cry for help from anyone knowing vBulletin.

If the guys at HardOCP can't figure it out, who can? I hope they don't shut down for good, those were my favorite forums!!

As I understand it from the few threads I managed to read before they went down again - they had issues with theplanet.com and moved the forums to another host. I didn't see where they specifically mentioned any data corruption issues but I thought I saw a few things hinting at it... dunno for certain tho :/
