Got to reading that social anxiety thread, some folks were owning up to it. Just wondering who else realizes it.

I don't hold back, I'm proud of it 🙂 People suck, I just dont bother with them anymore. See my sig. I'd alot rather be the way I am and enjoy the things I do rather than try to fit in and be unhappy.

I like listening to the Unreal Tournament Soundtrack in my car.
I like watching the Jeffersons and Adam-12.
I like upgrading my computer every month. I like online games.
My life consists of making useless posts on the Internet (some useful I guess) and playing games and I'm content with that.
I like spending $200 on a flashlight or other gadgets that "normal" guys couldn't care less about.

Sure I'll get out and go groccery shopping or shoot sporting clays, but I'm most content sitting here fraggin away and watching the Planet's funniest animals on animal planet.
Anyone else enjoy just being by themselves and doing what they want? Or are ya mostly turds who want to people to like you 😛
 
Sure I enjoy sitting at my computer and upgrading it all the time, but I also like going out and playing sports.

My life consist of working full-time, going to school part-time, spending less time than I should with my wife 🙂(), playing LAN games with my 5 friends on the weekend, playing Asheron's Call, and building/upgrading computers all the rest of the time.

I actually get up at 5am so I can play AC for 30-60min before I go to work. 🙂

Oh well. I'm happy when I'm not at work anyway. 🙂

I like AT because people here have intelligent (for the most part, not always) things to say and give pretty sound advice. But I also can't sit in front of my computer all day (expect for the time I get paid to do it, such as now). I need to get out and do things... being couped all the time isn't healthy... mentally or physically.

yup, i suck and i am a loser. i could care less what you do or think i shouldn't do. i hate clubs. i can't stand crowded bars, i would rather be the ONLY person in the bar besides the bartender. i like paying extra money for a perfect pint of Guinness. i like sitting at my computer, shooting hoops, playing golf, going to sporting events and the like, and i don't care if you don't think i should or you don't like it. nope...i don't care what you think i should do, i am going to do what i WANT to do. 🙂
 
I'm somewhat content being a loser.

Though getting laid now and then would be nice.
But in my younger day's I got laid often. So maybe I've used up my alotment already.
Or maybe my sex drive just isn't what it once was.

Maybe one of these day's I'll meet a nice Geek woman and we'll frag happily togather ever after. 😉

I do what I want. I go out clubbing, go to bars, sit my ass on the pc nef ...nope give *advice* when I can on ATOT, read pc sites, build/fix pc's etc, rock climb weight lift and pimp on people who think they are better as I'm interested in pc's..lol..and do as I train like a mofo.....

what I want to do I do🙂 peoples opinion don't bother me especially strangers.....f*ck them all! enjoy life and lead it how you want to 😉

EDIT: I just read what some of you all wrote and I wanted to clarify. I do like going out to bars and clubbing. I like to drink with my friends. I play soccer and like to play paintball with my friends. I have a great life and am hardly a loser, but I do have some geeky interests like computers, home theater, and digital photography. 😉
 
I don't suck, I'm not a "loser", I'm actually a pretty cool guy. Not a very cool guy, but not bad either. I am, however, a nerd. Or a geek. I can't tell the difference.

My life consists of sitting in front of my computer developing CTS, and messing with audio electronics and playing classical guitar, even though i suck. I try to play computer games like cs but i suck at that too.......
 
I'm a total geek (frequent ATOT poster should speak for itself, but I do computer tech, and play video games, M:TG, etc), but for some reason people also consider me cool and like me, even if i don't try to "fit in."
 
hmmm.....i cant say that....im kewl as hell....i have alot of friends....was very pop in high school and college....dated many hot women...i am a former model .....now im married to a hot as* chick....go out to clubs....listen to kewl music....build/upgrade my system all the time.....drive kewl cars....have a great job....makes lots of cash....life is well my friends =)
 
Sometimes I say(and I try to time this very carefully) "I'm such a loser" to a girl just to hear her tell me "no you're not!" or an awkward giggle... 😀.
 
Nah....I know about computers and post on AT, but I rarely am on my computer. I spend most of my time at school, at work, with my girlfriend, with my friends, or playing volleyball. My friends all joke about my computer knowledge cuz none of them know anything, but since its not like my life its no big deal....
 
It's healthy to know you're not the center of the universe.

(This thread reminds me of a scene in the movie Keeping the Faith. "Embrace your suckyness! Take pride in it!" I do regularly.)

Matt Galant sucks, I usually leave the volume off and play UT with headphones on so I don't really listen to him. Not quite as bad as Bob Saget, no one can hate him 🙂

I had a girl friend once, no really! She knew about it, and get this, didn't mind me going home after an evening of...activity so I could participate in my Ultima Online tournament of champions. Which I went on to win as the best Melee Fighter on the server! She knew it meant alot to me and didn't mind. Just be open about it and maybe you can combine your privilages 😉

but i take comfort in knowing that im not alone

and are we really losers? if "loser" describes so many people maybe we need a new description of loser
