Thought this would be an interesting question to post. I'm burning an !LEGITMATE! back-up of my WC3 disc and jamming to Junkie XL, while surfing the 'net. Anyone else doing the same?
I usually leave my computer alone while it's burning... It's a habit I built up with my 4x CDR drive without burn-proof (which I used for years)... So I do it now even with my 48x40x12 liteOn with burn-proof...
Now it only takes around 3 mins to burn a CD anyways, so I dont mind...
I always left it alone when burning until I finally update the firmware. The newer firmware is awesome, the drive is now capable of burn-proof, I've been taking this advantage.
Always been doing that, I trust my machine to be fast and stable enough to handle the load. Also been ripping CDs using EAC+LAME while surfing, I think that's more taxing.
i have a solid sytem design... I have done all of the following at the same time (Well, as close as possible)....
surfing
chatting
dowloading, both from Kazaa and FTP site
uploading to FTP site
Configured system (IS5.0)
All while burning. And no, i dont have Burn proof.
most of my burning happens when i'm about to leave for somewhere (like mp3s or something) so i'm usually doing something completely non-computer related like getting dressed. but i have burnt and surfed in the past.
