I never cared for going out friday nights and getting hammered.
Am even less inclined now that I'm in my 30's.

I never party. Saturday and Sunday mornings, I have my long runs. And in a Phoenix summer, that means I have to be up at 4am. No chance of partying until down on Friday or Saturday night.

i partied friday and sat night in college, not really since then. no real interest, much rather just go to a bar/lounge and chill with some people where you can actually hear them talk and its not wall to wall people

I swear if another person says I'm a loser for not going out and partying and getting drunk Friday night, I'm going to think I'm an alien from Mars. WTF is so great about it? You go to the club, pay to get in, drinks are expensive as hell, can't hear jack squat, women just tease you and go there to get their egos stroked and free drinks and then you go home and wake up with a hangover. How is that fun? I was thinking I had an anti social personality disorder or maybe even autism or aspergers until i read this on stumbleupon http://briankim.net/blog/2007/10/top-5-things-every-extrovert-should-know-about-introverts/

That's so me. I hate partying. It leaves me with no energy. I like being alone and reading or surfing the web. I think this society elevates extroverts way too much. Introverts need to be recognized. It's almost like we're shamed if we act out our introvert nature.

I'm going to catch up on the walking dead tonight, season 2. Anybody else not partying and just staying in and chilling and being OK with it?

You obviously have no idea what partying is in the first place since you think that's what partying consists of. I don't party any more. I rarely go out any more. I've gotten it out of my system and now usually just like to relax at home or bang a chick I'm seeing. I'm usually tired from work anyways to go out.

Been "partying" all night, whatever that means. For fear of needing a future job in my industry, I will say that means I hit a pinata and drank some fruit punch.

I'm introverted but don't mind partying every now and then. Every weekend? No, thanks. It gets obnoxious.

Been to quite a few parties. They're rarely any good. It's usually a bunch of kids getting drunk and acting like kids. Or, the ones that I dislike more: People who are definitely far into adult-hood but still acting like children. (I think a lot of these people never plan/could on settling down in the typical sense)

However, there are exceptions. I have a friend who is generally pretty good about parties, but his are more like little shindigs than parties. (i.e. he invites his friends and some of their closer friends... we all hang out and play fun social games.)

Oh, and the parties I go to are generally not your average group of people... They're artistic/poly/weird/dancers... So, lots of naked dancing, naked people, hot-tubing, and usually a lot of people you already know (Unless you're new in town). I skip out on anything involving nakedness. Very rarely do the hot girls ever get naked, and even then... you're thinking, "She was so much hotter with clothes on..."

The last party I attended was a 5th grade pool party, IIRC. The last time I was at one that involved dancing was a work party my dad took the family to, when I was in 3rd or 4th grade. A girl asked me to dance her and I thought she was insane.

Yeah I'm not a huge fan of parties. I dislike being drunk so I don't go for that reason, I don't like dancing, I don't like loud or crowded places... yeah. I do like small or low-key parties like dinner parties or board game nights. These days, loud parties seem like things college kids go to until they grow up.

what the french does partying even mean these days?
In the old days you would pick a race or ethnicity, gather your friends, kill that race or ethnicity. It was jolly good fun.

You won't meet good women at a club. Good women are there to dance, not get picked up. The ones there to get picked up do that every week and probably have every STD known to man.

Back in the day when I was single - most of the time I would only go to parties [local bars in a military town, BBS meets at the local college bar or at someone's house, etc] to try and get laid [which worked well since I don't like drinking/smoking]

Nowadays [married with kids] - I'm not really interested in going out after hockey or over to a friend's bbq/halloween party/etc as they turn into the same clique group crap I saw in high school. But when I do go - I usually just sit and watch other people - I just find enjoyment watching how they act in a social group.

I would say that if you don't like to go out and get the occasional beer with your co-workers or friends, that indeed, you are a bit of a loser. I still party occasionally, but not getting a beer would make me a loser, yes.

Also, if that's how you define a party, you either a) have a lot of misconceptions b) have bad friends c) have never been to a real party before. Partying isn't necessarily a club, not all girls are necessarily teases, go outside FFS.

I'm about as introvert as they come, but every once in a while you have to let go of pretence and just have fun.

Tired of club and drinking scene - Instead of pissing my money away... I've been mostly staying in on the weekends and using the money to upgrade my rig or try to become the next Steve Jobs or get me some sugar babbies when I'm old and single... I'm definately not an introvert, just using my money towards "productive" projects...:p

No partying here. Just a BBQ with an even supply of beer from about 3 p.m. to 1 a.m.

Sounds like someone has been going to clubs sober...

If you are young and single and don't wake up on Saturday morning and search through your pockets for clues as to what happened last night, you are doing it wrong...
