SO, I came across a copy of this game for FREE from a neighbor. I happened to love this game so I accepted. I played it, got bored, sold it at a local game crazy for $13. Then I go home, check eBay, people are actually paying over $80 for it. SO NOT ONLY DID I SELL A GAME I ACTUALLY COULD HAVE KEPT AND PLAYED, IT WAS A RARE GAME THAT WAS WORTH OVER $80! And I could have kept it even longer and I'm sure the price would have gone up. Apparently, Capcom lost their license to use Marvel characters so we will never see a rerelease of a capcom game with marvel characters i.e. wolverine, spiderman, hulk and such. I'M STUPID AND I SUCK FOR THE TIME BEING. Damn it.....
 
Yep I sold a mint Dreamcast copy a few years back for $100 bucks. I was happy at the time, but I regret it now. I think it's a great game.

Taking a look, only the PS2 and Xbox ones are going for high dollar. The DC versions are still cheap. As in "you can buy a DC and the game cheaper" cheap.

Too bad it's only worth like a dollar 🙁

Don't feel bad, I also have CvM:MtM for the NGPC and I think that it's probably worth about the same as an empty altoids tin.

I always wanted a Sammy vs. SNK. Thier characters and fighting systems were closer together than the others. In MvC2, pretty much all the Capcom characters were gimps.

"What do you got?" "A spinning pile driver, you?" "I can call demons out of the ground and f' you up." "Oh... damn..."
 
there is no point in playing on it at home.

I remember reading about that game in gaming magazines back in the day...It was good, but they did end up losing there licensing and it did end up becoming a collectors game...kind of like FF7 😀
 
OP is a dumbass for selling the godly game in the first place 😛

MVC1 is the only reason i got the playstation, have my MVC2 for Xbox
 
When I saw your title, I said, "yeah, the $75 game?" I've got it, for my DC and for my XBox. 🙂 And I've got MvC1 and play it on my XBox too. 🙂
 
holy crap...i JUST came back from playing that on my ps3 (ps2 version). im letting it sit overnight in training mode so i can rack up points to buy characters/costumes/stages.

excellent, underrated game. and the backgrounds looks good thanks to 1080p upscaling via the ps3.

spider-man, ryu, 2nd wolverine (with the shorter, whiter colored claws), venom, iron man, were my favorites. but on the ps2, you could easily do everyones combo by pressing the same buttons for each character.......
