We spent two weeks with our RV parked in Crescent City. We explored as much as we could by car...(neither of us can really hike nowadays) took that poor rental car into some places that I shouldn't have...my grandsons were

astounded at the giant redwoods...even though just a few years before, we took them up to see the giant sequoias in Sequoia Kings Canyon National Parks. Saw a shit ton of deer, a couple of herds of elk...a couple of black bears...and the giant banana slugs. I think those were the biggest surprises to them. Living in central California, they've seen plenty of slugs...about 3-4" long. The 12" or longer, bright yellow banana slugs were impressive
