Anybody get a Google+ invite?

I really really have a hard time caring about circles and huddles and sandbars in an ugly black bar across the top of my screen.
 
I heard about this when I woke up. Thought I'd hav eto pull some strings with my google friends, but when I came back from my morning workout I already got an invite. Lemme see if I can invite people first.

Edit: The Google employees got 10 invites each, but it seems the people they invite don't get invites... lol.
 
I feel like it suffers the same shortcomings... this is great if you already have established social circles, but one of the main draws of facebook is that (almost) everyone is on it and can search you up by name. Or stuff like... seeing that your friend commented on one of their friend's pictures, then realizing that you know that person from wherever and friend requesting them.

The... scope of Google+ almost feels too small.

This is exactly what I am looking for. I hate the whole FB community aspect of it. Meh, I don't give a fuck about the people I don't give a fuck about and that's pretty much goddamn everyone who isn't on my friends list and some of those people on my friends list I am far to lazy to remove.
