Haha a couple of beers is not gonna get you drunk. I don't drive drunk, but dude if you drink often and have a tolerance, it would probably take you 5 beers to get you to .08.

They should follow Japan's lead. I don't know what the BAC is but 0.15mg of alcohol per 1L of air will get you pulled over (for most people it's about a beer, so 0.02?). Fines start at $1800 to $2500 for the first offense. AND everyone else in the car who has a license (regardless of whether they are drunk or not) gets a $1500 fine.

Yeah really, chill out. There is a big difference between driving with a slight buzz and driving drunk and even at .08 you're pretty buzzed but not quite drunk.
Don't try and fight the moral warriors.

The Japanese imposed a .03 limit here on Okinawa because of the high incidence of drunk driving on the island. Essentially, it's the line like in the US where you can be arrested for .07/.08, but it's discretionary (unlike automatic arrest at .10). So, pretty much one drink, and you're done!
The military police will impound your car for the night and make you walk home if they catch you, which is more for your protection from the Japanese than anything else (they won't arrest you until .08 or higher).

It pisses me off when I hear people saying that xx beers don't do anything to them. I don't know the exact number (I think it is 0.08), but it has been scientificly proven that when you hit that number, your reflexes aren't as sharp as in a sober state. You might or might NOT feel buzzed, but your reflexes are STILL affected.
And as for me, I have no problem having 2 beers and driving. If I take a 3rd one, either it's because I found someone else to drive, or they were drank over a long period.
