Any word if the HL2 benchmark is being released for public use on the 30th? Has anyone tried the new shadermark 2.0?

I'll have to try that, and as a side note, the benchmark had better be released tomorrow...That would at least give me something :\...

Analyze this gibberish

Looks like my rig is 78% to 89% the performance of yours in shadermark comparing them test for test, which seems reasonable..I'm clocked at 1870MHz (170x11) currently. It also looks like the Fur Shader With Anisotropic Lighting test crawls.

Bleh, 116 avg FPS, and what's worse - I don't know why my Shader 13 and 14 are so bad compared to yours 1manarmy . Your 9800 must be clocked much higher than mine (I'm only at 400/290).

Well you get 18,000 3dmarks on 2k1 while I (and several other 9800 owners) only get 16,000 so obviously it's not just this benchmark. Your heavily overclocked system, dual-channel memory, and more importantly video card give you such good performance. 360/350 is damn impressive for a 9700Pro! I'm only running my 9800 non-pro at 400/290, for example.

but, you have more cache, so I'm confused also

I recently got more from my 9700 core ... now 369

The only thing I can think of that might make the differences might be a clean install of OS..?
then then load most recent drivers
