Any solar eclipse plans?

Out here in CA we're only getting about 40% coverage. But still looking forward to checking it out with my daughter. She's excited.

I didn't have plans, but now I am interested in wondering how much my solar panels are impacted. We have a slight haze today, so they are at 91% of max power. My solar peak power production is fairly close to the eclipse peak. They should start getting shaded soon. I'm in a 80% totality location.

89% eclipse here at 3:12 EST. I'll take my daily walk a bit later than usual at 3:00 pm, so I'll be outside during the peak. Don't think it will be too exciting.

I just went outside (20 miles south of Louisville Kentucky) to check the visibility. The clouds are pretty heavy so I won't be seeing this event.

actually we are getting 90% coverage, so not too bad. Gonna head out of the office with the dog and some colleagues and check it out.

Just witnessed it. It was beautiful. The moon lit up with a sliver ring seconds before it went black.

Here is my solar power output chart. Light dropped about 82% from the pre-eclipse peak for me. Peaked at 1:53 PM. Certainly wasn't in the path of totality though.
