Funny, the paper eclipse glasses I had from Celestron had a warning on them stating that they should not be used for more than 3 minutes continuously, and then a few hours break should commence before using again.

I just did quick glances using eclipse glasses. I also kept my camera pointing away from the sun with a solar filter, and only moved it when I wanted a picture. A bit of a pain when. It comes to cropping and centering stuff when processing, but better than frying my camera (or eyes).

mine had the same warning so i never looked through the glasses for more than 5 or 10 seconds at a time.

while i was in the process of looking up at the sun with the glasses on i did have my eyes closed, but perhaps a bunch of light still managed to get through my eyelids

turning my monitor and phone brightness way down has seemed to reduce the pain behind my eyes so far
