any smokers hate smoking outside of work?

I work around artsy people, so it's weird if you DON'T smoke.

Personally, I've tried quitting but since the boyfriend smokes/life is really stressful right now/I like to have a reason to go outside for 20 minutes, I'm just going to keep on keeping on.

I do, however, ask the boyfriend not to smoke inside the apartment...

BUT I also admit that smoking outside when it's fucking freezing sucks ass.

Except that smoking is a behavior, and obesity is a disease. That's the way they're classified, that's what we have to go by.

I'm not a fan of legalese and horseshit. Con artists use legalese to get around truth. Cramming cheeseburgers in your face is a behavior, and the result is you get fat, and sick. Smoking cigarettes is also a behavior, and the result is you get sick(but are generally thinner :^P). It's the exact same thing.

I also want to point out that I'd rather people see me smoking and thin than if I was a fatass stuffing my face with retarded amounts of food to give birth to another chin.

I find stuffing your face like it's going out of style to be much more horrifying than watching someone smoke.

That's fine, and I would love to implement a policy for the fatties, but current "legalese and horseshit" does not allow me to.

based on the total number of deaths it leads to every year, no, you probably can't

Fatties gnawing on frito-lays all day is a behavior. This behavior causes obesity.

If the fat office bitch gets to shovel her oral cavity with junk and I(the dedicated, hard-working, bust my ass every day- employee) is treated like I'm at an addiction clinic then I'll slowly start to get pissed.. working while craving a smoke will make me prone to errors, I'll slowly start to hate my job and my boss... then eventually take my dedication and hard work somewhere else.

😕 Smoking can now be caused, in some cases, by genetics?

Re-read the bolded. That's how they are classified. Jesus, can anyone read?

Every employee thinks they're "the dedicated, hard-working, bust my ass every day- employee," but the fact is, the majority of you smokers bring in lower productivity numbers with equal quality work. If the policy causes the few top-performing smokers to leave, I'll hire some top-performing non-smokers to replace them.

The only reason the numbers are higher is because there are far more people who smoke cigarettes than shoot up or smoke crack.

Besides, those who do drugs are more prone to being arrested and receiving a trial (costs the taxpayer), prison (costs the taxpayer), and contracting HIV (costs the taxpayer for healthcare, because it's considered a disability), then infecting other people (costs the taxpayer again).

So not really. I'd rather see someone smoking a cigarette than shooting up.

Genetics? Give me a break. More calories in than are consumed makes you fat. Other than rare diseases, that's how it works. Some people can eat what they want, and their metabolism keeps them thin; other people have to be more careful. You're not entitled to special protection because you want to eat anything you want to, but your metabolism won't allow it.

And these rare diseases come from....? Genetics?

Now, what are some rare diseases that cause smoking?

No, you're black because of genetics, you're fat because you eat too much. Fatties might like to think they defy physics somehow, and shouldn't be held accountable for their condition, but it's their fault 100%

So what if something is classified as a behavior, a disease, or as an asshole.

I'd rather work with only 2 of those 3.

Good for you, but what does that have to do with the discussion?

Smoking is classified as an addiction, which is a medical condition, right?

Addictions are believed to be hereditary, see: alcoholism (may be different than smoking).

So, maybe...

edit: I personally believe these are environmental traits.

No, the addiction is to nicotine, not the act of smoking itself. Smoking is classified in federal law as a behavior. Obesity is classified in federal law as a disease and a health status for Medicare and health insurance, respectively.

I'm not arguing with you, because I understand these are federal guidelines, however....

That's bullshit legalese as noted above.
