Who are they?

I was joking for the most part about this. But I have some good knowledge when it comes to supplementation, and I believe Raptor and Speciak K do as well.

Xceed

xCEEd is more that just creatine though. Also best to use it only pre workout and a regular CEE after. Primaforce CEE is a 'best buy' right now from bodybuilding.com.

Naturally and healthy eating for the win

you're an idiot.

Not everyone can get big naturally...legal supplements fall into the natural area.

Steroids are another field.

Creatine occurs naturally BTW...it's just an amino acid.

It's not cheating any more than having a protien drink after a hard workout is cheating. I bet you don't weight train seriously.

Umm, well to me taking creatine is cheating. :)

Trust me, im in shape
Ok so you have an aversion to taking supplements. BTW why would you consider it cheating? Are you in a competition? Who the fsck are you cheating?

umm, like i said, i just would feel wierd getting bigger off of the use of supplements. Thats just me.

Like, I think my mom could put up 225lbs taking supplements.

Wow you are so uneducated about weight lifting, and I seriously doubt you weight lift at all.

You sound worse than the guys that go on the t-nation forums and say "Hey, has anyone around here tried creatine? I am 5 foot 11 and 135lbs, and I am going to start weight lifting to become big, but I don't want to get to huge, so do you think creatine will make me too big right away?"

He's a douche, just ignore his naive comments.

I took monocreatine (GNC brand) it for about 2 months, and did it according to the instructions (I loaded for a week or whatever the rec. time period). I noticed a pretty encouraging increase in my lifting intensity and ability to push out reps, and a modest increase in the amount of weight I was repping. At that time I had a pretty vanilla lifting regimen which might've contributed to why I wasn't increasing weights faster. After the two months I started to notice a lot of pain in my elbows and shoulders while lifting (knees were fine) and so I got off of it and the pain went away. I tried to drink as much water as possible while I was on, and even gave up the coffee during this period.

I agree with folks saying that it's not really harmful so long as you take care while using it (sh!tloads of water), but I also agree that it'd be good to cycle on and off of it so as to preserve the whole 'everything in moderation' cliche.

Alot of the 'pain in joint' deals that come with creatine are new lifters overtraining. Creatine helps recovery a bit so you can go deeper into overtraining easier.

In the beginning, less is more.

In the end, it turns out from a pure strength standpoint...less is more as well.

I go for overall fitness...I still do deadlifts and squats, but if I will following a 3 day 5x5 plan I am sure my maxes would increase faster.

Haven't done deadlifts for 10 years and when I did I only had for about a couple months. 4th deadlift workout and up to 275 for 6 reps...I am at 200lbs right now, although 170-180lbs at 5'10" would put me at ripped. I started a few months ago at 220lbs+, my weight has stayed at 200lbs for most of that time due to increasing my lean body mass.

I need to increase my eating, even though I am trying to cut a bit. My strength is ramping up overall, but my max lifts have suffered (was doing 100lb dumbbell bench for 4-6 reps, now 80-90lbs per DB is more my speed...still curling 110lbs for 8 to 10 reps though ;))

I have been training since late april again after a 5 year hiatus, with July almost no training due to extensive traveling and an injury.
