Do I have a B or an F?
BTW.....can only max out at 333x9, have tried multiple combinations including raising Vcore to 1.55v, but have given up for 3.0ghz on stock voltages/Zalman 9700 (Asus P5B-Deluxe, G.Skill 4-4-3-5 @ 5-5-5-15). Kinda unimpressed with overclocking capabilities, but it still blows anything that AMD has right now, so I'm OK.

you can tell what batch you have by looking at the retail box of the cpu or IHS of the cpu.

That is the original thread. I don't remember if you can access the forum without registering...

Umm.. why not just find it out yourself? Unless you get to see those numbers before making a purchase, there is no difference. I have just installed a Q6600 and it's a week 40 and F batch. Will post results later.

Called EVGA and requested a replacement RMA for my board. Kinda disappointed because I grew to like this board (original NV reference before quad-core revision). But I can't even OC 50MHz over the stock so it leaves me no choice. EVGA's service is, once again, top-notch. Not only their tech support team are more knowledgeable than any other, but also they're decent (humanly).Originally posted by: stevty2889
Hope you have better luck than I am, my Q6600 is an F batch, can't get stable past 3.15ghz. I am using 1.425v for 3.15ghz, and even 1.6v doesn't get me stable at 3.2ghz. These things sure do run toasty too, but it's bareable on water cooling.

I have a "G" e6600, it won't do a mhz higher than 333 on my Asus P5B-Deluxe. Maxes out at 3.0ghz. I have tried higher voltages, different multiplier/FSB settings, nothing. But, I can get a 20% overclock on stock voltage, so what can I really say. BTW.....cooling with Zalman 9700, 30C/~45C.
