Yep and they exist. Just have to find someone who is poor and knows nothing about computers, the computer does the internet, runs almost all applications and even some games and has a WHOPPING 4GB hard drive.

Fear my wrath ...

don't sell the imac.

just hook it up to a real audio system and play mp3s offa it.

your imac will be a dj 😎

or you can always take everything inside out of it and use it as a helmet...or pot for plants to grow in???

ram keychain if you do that!

One of my work computers is the new iMac. The LCD screen is really nice and it runs Mac OS9.2. I must say that every day I am enjoying the OS setup. Time to switch to Linux on my PC since I can't afford a Mac.

They could buy a MUCh better one for only 300 bucks more (and even that wouldn't be worth it IMO apple store

you got to have at least $1100 to buy a decent mac.

yep! I run a G4 733 EDU model - 640mb ram, 60 gig HD, 5 gig SmartDisk FireFly FirewWire HD, CD-R. Just got it a week ago. The only thing I hate about it is the Pro optical mouse; gimmie back my right button! Luckily I have an InteliMouse Explorer ariving soon for it.

They were preinstalled with OS 9.2 and I have little say as to what OS I get to run. I also think that our login and preferences program has not been tested with OS X.

We use them at work, when they are not sent in for repairs. I hate them. HATE THEM I TELL YOU!

OMG! I JUST INSTALLED MY 64TH FONT ON MY PUKE GREEN IMAC! I THINK I WILL USE IT TO PRINT A PARTY INVITATION!

Heh.. I gave my Rev C to my mom so that she could surf the web. WHOPPING 6GB drive on that one.. wup.

Now, what would be nice is a Powerbook G4 with two mouse buttons... However, they do overcharge you for the high end:

link to Powerbook in Apple Store

Notice the differences between the "faster" and "ultimate" models: You're paying $600 for 512 extra SDRAM (not even DDR), and for an extra 20GB worth of drive space.

Fire up that Steve Jobs' "Reality Distortion Field(TM)"..

1st one was lame, 2nd one was a little bit funny and 3rd one was an old school kind of funny.

yes they do break down/crash
true, but have you used OS X? In almost a year, i've had it crash maybe three times but it has never been broken. pretty impressive for a computer.

If you want to sneak a peak, i bet OS X is installed on it as well. just check the "startup disk" control panel.

I'll check, but I highly doubt it is there since the software installed on these computers are highly monitored by the university.
