Eh, I don't see much wrong in this. Apple is just raping the people dumb enough to buy it. When smart people buy a mac, they choose the CPU they want and then downgrade everything else (except maybe the optical drive). Adding it on from a third party is the smart way. All Macheads agree that the "ultimate" machines are usually a joke. OH, and expect a complete revision of the powermac line in july at macworld new york(we all hope)
shotgunsteve: if you have the chance to try a new mac setup you will see that the environment has been greatly changed and is IMO much better.
