Who out there just can't make do without their Howie Stern show in the morning? Man, I am absolutely addicted. I can't get reception where I work so I download from alt.binaries.howard-stern every morning. The show is just hilarious.

The George Takei laugh that started this week is just too funny. And whenever Artie mocks Marriane from Brooklyn and Fred starts playing the crow noises. And then there's that drunk guy with those canned lines like "you skanky ho" and "aw shut up ya bitch." And then when Howard does his Pope impression...

Oh man, I just can't get enough.

I am not a fan of stern. Although some talk radio actually has intelligence, I dont find any in him.

It's what I listen to on the drive to work, not much else going on with San Jose stations.

Yeah, I'd fall right back to sleep listening to NPR in the morning. I listen to NPR often but in the morning I want some entertainment and Howard Stern never ceases to supply it.

The funniest thing about people who bad mouth Stern's show is that every argument is weak because they never actually listen to the show, they just form an opinion based on others. :)

Show's great, though! Been listening for about 8 years now. :Q

I listen to Stern everyday. Yes, of course, he is an idiot who panders to the lowest common denominator in us all.
But, he is great to listen to and get a few chuckles without having to be 'involved'.
I laugh AT him just as much, if not more, than I laugh with him. But, a laugh is a laugh.

He DOES do celebrity interviews (the ones brave enough to come in) that KILL all other interviews.
They're aren't necessarily GOOD, but they are DIFFERENT. And in the world of Hollywood, ass kissing, and pre-scripted and approved questions for publicity interviews that ALL SOUND EXACTLY the same, anything different is good. :)

I listen to him on the drive in but no longer bother to try and listen in the office. I started listening to him when he was on DC101 here in Washington before he moved to New York and at that time there was nothing like him on the air. A lot of folks like me that have listened to him over the years think he is just a shadow of what he used to be these days. It seems like most mornings he is just phoning it in rather than putting in any real effort to be funny and original. Letting Jackie go was another big mistake IMHO. Jackie would have had a ball with the new "Hamptons and Nobu" Howie.

Get lexy and terry though :)

Lex and Terry are a trip. Somedays they go overboard with talking about some guy who cheats on his girlfriend w/ her cousin's sisters brothers friend who works at the dairy queen.
Some days I have to turn them off. This morning was funny, Scott (sound engineer) was going to work (I tune in at 5am central time, so I catch the start of every show), anyway, his car caught on fire like a 1/4 mile from the station....LOL some of their affiliates were off the air, and Terry could not figure out how to use the phones....

I like how Stern mocks all those who take themselves too seriously. Kind of like I do with Wankers like Phsyco Andy.

Hank Kingsley as played by Jeffrey Tambor on "The Larry Sanders Show". Hank was a parody of Ed McMahon and "Hey Now" was his tagline similar to the "Hi Ho" Ed used to use when introducing Johnny Carson.

Howard Stern is hilarious.

I agree that most people who don't like him (and especially those who badmouth him) have never really listened.
