I am... and there's no cap here thankfully... and since I use
third parties for both my DNS and E-Mail, I'm also ammune to
their frequent server crashes.

I can see it now but don't know what to look for. Do they have a cap on the speed or something?

I know most cable modems have a 128K upload Cap on them :( the DL I think is pretty unlimited compared to what the cablemodem itself can handle

I have had @Home for 3 weeks now. Knowing up front that the TOS states no servers the upload cap really does not affect me. If I could get true sDSL I would go with that rather than @Home but for now the download speeds more than make up for the inability to run my own servers. Quite a pleasant surprise from what I was used to with my iDSL.

Most of the @Home network is capped at 128K in the Redwood,CA NOC. There isn't much you can do about it really. All those "uncapper" programs are generally just BS. YOur speed will fluctuate up to roughly 160-170 though. The d/l speed is just plain awesome though.

I would like to be an AT&T @Home customer but they haven't installed into my neighborhood yet. So until that happens I'll continue using my DSL.

im an @home cust in the HTFD CT area, and it's capped. for a while it wasn't capped, and this guy I knew had a server running. it was phat, and fast. if I'd had a few large HD's then, i'd have probbly started a nice collection of stuff.
