Curious, has anyone here lived in a 2BR apartment with one female roommate about the same age? I've lived with women before but never one guy and one woman living together. Good idea or bad idea?

Yeah, I did once with a female cousin just to give here a place to live.

Didn't work out too well in the long run, living with a woman that isn't you're wife is a real PITA.

Was my 2 bedroom house, but still.

I was helping her out after a divorce, but still is similar.

It's doable I guess but all situations are different.

Depends a lot of the time on your definition of a room mate.

Ive had two female roommates. One was a bit weird since first she was gone for work for 6 months then i was gone for 6 months for work so we were only in the house together for like 4 months total. Worked fine for us but was a bit weird. im a morning person and go to bed early and she is a night person and sleeps in. So we both had plenty of time to be away from the other. The other one didnt work out more just cause she was a shitty roommate than it being female. Didnt do her own dishes (mind you all the dishes are mine to begin with). Didnt lean her bathroom once in a year. Just had no respect for anything pretty much.

I see having a female roommate as no different than a guy. Its all about what type of person they are

Will your parents give you endless grief if you live with a MotOS?

Are you dead-set on paying for haircuts?

Will your dick fall off if you give somebody a back rub and it's not foreplay?

Do you refuse to live with people who you cannot playfully punch in the shoulder at any time?

Do you prefer snakes to cats?

...etc.

I live with people. Sometimes, they are female people. It's never been so miserable I couldn't ride out the lease. Likewise, some people just shouldn't have roommates, period.

I had several opportunities to room with hot college girls back in college. I, instead, lived with a guy who was a good friend and good roommate. I don't regret it because living with hot girls would have distracted me and made me jealous if I wasn't having sex with them.

You get sick of them, just like any other roommate. Just because they have tits doesn't mean you'll like cleaning up after them all the time, which works both ways too. And there is the boyfriend/girlfriend is always there thing eating and drinking all your shit...

I did it twice in my early twenties. Both times we ended up shagging and then dating and then breaking up and then becoming an unlivable situation that one of has had to move out and the other had to find a replacement flatmate. So both times edned poorly at the time and it sucked but it was fun for a while and managed to make up with both and still friends to this day.

IMO it's the same as living with a guy except you might possibly end up having sex and then requireing another flatmate

I've never heard of these situations not ending like this...unless one of the roommates was gay.

I lived with a friend of mine and her daughter for a couple of years. she rented a room in the same house as I was living in. Owner of the house sold it so we rented an apartment closer to my work I helped her get a job at the same place.

I had known her for while and there was a mutual non attraction agenda so that helped. How long we had known each other helped too. I did the cooking and grocery shopping (I'm a better cook) She did the cleaning. She started dating someone from work they fell in love and moved in together so we dissolved the living situation. No bad feelings.

I would say on the positive side living with a girl had a positive reaction to my sex life. Girls tended to be a lot more willing to come over when they found out my roommate was a girl, plus she made a great wing women. We never slept together but she could bullshit with the best of 'em.
