I would at least buy it with the intention of reselling it provided it's in good condition.

They sound good at obnoxious volume levels. Otherwise if you're a bedroom rocker..forget about it, it'd sound like mud. I'm partial to Tech 21 stuff for home practice amps.

Well, what am I asking is if I should get this for 400, or should I just get another combo amp because I mostly play metal anyways? I have a v-amp 2, which is great. I also do sometimes like to play blues and surf rock. ANything I get needs to be better than my Peavey TKO 115 s though, cause thats a bass guitar amp (yeah I am a bassist 1st, guitarist second).

Look at a Marshall or VOX. Crate might work well too.

Crate sucks... period! I'll stick with my Peavey Ultra Plus.

Crate is making some nice products these days. You need to get down to the guitar store and see.

You know what, I actually like the large Crate solid state stuff for metal. I'm talking 4x12, 100 watt heads. Their combo amps have always sounded like garbage to me though.
Personally I love my Line6 Flextone III. It's not *the* best metal amp, but it does very well especially on the Mesa Boogie emulator, and the Flextone emulator. And it works great at bedroom levels, which is what I play at. I haven't had a chance to really turn it up yet, though.
