Any GOOD Horror Movies? 2000-2013

Sinister and The Woman in Black are two in the last couple/few years that actually creeped me out.

I also liked the Rob Zombie Halloween remakes, The Omen (remake), Trick 'r Treat, etc...truly scary movies are damn few and far between though.

if you watch cabin in the woods, don't go into it with any horror expectations. i did and the movie was awful because of that. it's an awful movie regardless, but it's FAR from scary. it's basically a satire of the horror genre.

Tucker and Dale Vs Evil was surprisingly good, and funny as hell. Not a true horror, but it does have a lot of gore.

this is the only good one that I can think of.

The majority of films today that are classified as "horror" are basically just gore and cheap shock shclock that only appeals to stupid people (think: Saw, Hostel, etc). None of it is horror.

The Descent was entertaining. Plenty of eye candy, plus some great scenes of gore and psychological fucked up shit. Wasn't that scary, though...good suspense in parts.

Plus, Chloe Moretz is a good teen actor. But I doubt shes better than Lina Leandersson. Her acting was superb! 😛
