I watched it a lot early on, but never had the time to watch it for the last few seasons... missed a lot of the Dominion war...

I like it but not more than TNG

It didn't get good until the Dominion War IMO and during its first run on TV I quit watching long before they got to that. Thankfully Netflix has the DVDs so I can watch the good seasons. :)

DS9 is the best spin-off, IMO. It has a darker feel and great writing (the multi-season arc w/the Dominion being the most obvious example).

Agreed. After I watched some of the first season, I stopped, got back in during the Dominion war and it quickly became my favorite STrek series. Had a better story arc that any other series, and deeper, more complex, and often darker characters. The captain on this show decked Q in the face. No other captain would have done that.

Yeah, I agree - DS9 was the best series in the Star Trek universe. Too bad there'll never be a movie.

The Ferengi-centric episodes were the best. Quark rules.

I enjoyed DS9 immensely for the first couple of seasons.

Then comes Kai Winn (what a fscking bitch), and that whole "Sisko as the emissary of the Prophets" mess.

Really turned me off the show. Dukat was a decent bad guy, but was eventually entirely overused.

The last episode was a bit disappointing too. Ahh well.

I never really got into the show until it became serialized (WARF!!!!! DEFIANT!!!! WOOO!!!!!!!!), but then I really liked it. Next Generation is still the best though.

I have seasons 1 - 3. I got up to mid season two and i stopped cuz i'm back at school. But it was kinda boring and repetitive. Season 7 was so much better.

And DS9 is in no way as good as TNG!!!

Kirk would have decked Q, then had group sex with Q's sister and mother afterwards.

The Dominion storyline was excellent, but the conclusion was so unbelievably lame that it put me off the rest of the series (which was probably only one or two more seasons).

Actually I think Kirk would have hurled his entire body towards Q, then grasped both hands together and do some weird 2-handed-punch thing on Q's back which would have somehow knocked Q out. Ahh, there was nothing like Kirk-fu. And yes, Kirk would have tried to kick some ass, too.

I'm a big fan of DS9. Nicole DeBoer is probably the prettiest girl in the series, though.

Isn't SpikeTV eventually going to start showing DS9 in lieu of ST:TNG? Also after DS9 is shown for a year or two, I believe they move on to Voyager.

I confess to watching the last episodes of DS9 religiously.
Mainly in the vain hope that it would be blown up.

TNG rules all.
Voyager is 2nd.

I think things started getting weird when Kira had to carry Obrien's baby, and then Dax 1 died, and that Cardassian dude had some alien in his body and bajorins were worshipping him as a god...

I thought at first the show wasn't very good, then I liked it, then it got bad again
