Any Blue Moon drinkers here?

Fritzo

I just discovered this stuff at a convention in Chicago last week and I love it! It's a little girly because they serve it with orange slices, but it's so smooth and full that I actually went "WOW!" after the first time I tried it.

I've never heard of the stuff before. Drinking Blue Moon doesn't make me gay or anything does it? I mean, does it have a rep like Zima or Apple Pucker or anything?

LOL

The worse rep that Blue Moon has is that it's made by Coors. Wheat beers take lemon and oranges like cheeseburgers take ketchup and mustard.

No, it's awesome.

You should also try Leinenkugel's Sunset Wheat. From the bottle it is better than Blue Moon. Blue Moon is better from the tap though.

I always tell the bartender to hold the fruit when I order mine. Expect your friend to make fun of you if you have a fruit in your glass on a guys night out.

I also like Blue Moon and I am close to Chicago. It does not really carry a "girlie" rep around here. There are a number of my friends that prefer wheat beers and it is above average on that list.

vi_edit hit on it, but all wheat beers take lemon and oranges. If they don't put that in it, they dont know what they are doing 🙁

I agree with this. Leinenkugal is good from a bottle, but it doesnt even hold a candle when it comes to the tap.

Basic wheats like Boulevard and Edinger(or pretty much any Hefe) take lemon.

Spiced ones take oranges.

I usually just throw the orange slice after they put it in.

Try hoegaarden sometime. Its a pretty bomb ass beer as well.

Blue Moon RULES. I asked for it at a party one time and immediately got viciously derided as being the girliest girly-girl ever, but whatever, it's not a girl's drink. It does need an orange to taste good, but... well, shut up.

it's a popular drink hereabouts and no girlie label has attached that I'm aware of. course they could be snikering behind my back all the time but I think that's probably directed at the guy next to me with the strawberry daquiri

Only teenagers and factory workers drink crappy mass produced pilsners anymore. Blue moon isn't the best wheat out there, but it's reasonably priced and widely distributed usually $1.50-$2 less than other slightly better beers for a six pack. A good beer for a place that doesn't carry local brews.

I bought a case of hoegaarden once and it almost made me quit drinking.

One of my favorite drinks is a black and blue (blue moon and guiness) can't go wrong.

Wow I have never tried this, and they are my 2 favorites.

Get over yourself, conceited prick. I can't even drink beer and I find you insulting.

Love blue moon, but I always have them leave the produce out. It ruins the flavor for me.

Just had a Hoegaarden last night for the first time... it tasted... flowery?

I like Bluemoon. Coors is funny to me. Anything with the name Coors in it i hate. But other things made by Coors are good. Bluemoon, Killians, etc.
