I finally decided to get another 1700....and got a "B" this time! (JIUHB 0302XPMW) I just completed 14 hours of Prime95 at 11.5x166.7 @1.62V. I wanted to let the chip settle in before trying to push it. This chip seems to run a little cooler than the "A" I had...with an SLK-800/Vantec Stealth, the highest temp I saw was 37C during Prime95, idle is 33-34C.

Now for some fun!!!

I don't even know if the debt is mine waiting on the damn bank for statements on whether I payed it but yet I didn't even order it and I'm getting charged for it. $560 grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Well, this 0302 is the ticket I was lookin' for! It's now running at 2083.8Mhz (12.5x166.7), 1.7V, and hasn't gone over 37C running Prime for the past 4 hours. I'm going to run Prime for a full 24 hours to make sure this OC is gonna stick....

After that I'd like to try backing off on the voltage a little, just to see what it actually takes to maintain this speed. I'd love to try a higher FSB, but my 8K5A2 doesn't support AGP/PCI lock.

just received a JIUHB 0302XPMW from newegg. Ordered Monday.
All multipliers up to 12.5 are unlocked on my shuttle kt266a board. runs at 12.5x 133 default voltage without even a sweat.
Since I have pc133 sdram, 136 fsb is my max. now I guess I better unlock those higher multipliers.

I installed my Throroughbred B JUIHB 0302 a couple of days ago and I've been searching for the max speed for a couple of days now.

After running Prime95 and 3dMark2002SE, I've pretty much maxed it out at 11X183 for 2004mhz at 1.700V(though ASUS Probe reads 1.744V). at 11.5 X 180, I get a hardware error on Prime95 after a few iterations of torture test.

Mobo = A7N8X Deluxe.
Alpha PAL8045 with ASIII. Fan is an Enermax UC series temp controlled that never spins about 1700rpm. (going to switch to panaflo m1a with 3 tail)
Ambient: 21C
Case: 25C(no load), 27-29C(with load)
CPU: 36C(no load), 42-46C(full load)
Ram: Crucial pc2700 512mb x 2
PS: Enermax 300watt(came with the case...probably will change this)

It'll post at 2170mhz, and looks stable, but a quick run on Prime95 shows sum out errors.

Not the 2200 - 2300 some people are claiming, but heck, it benches like a XP2400+ at 166fsb

what week? ... if it's an 0302 i tink youshould be able to hit at least 2.1 :) ( i did with mine!!!)

but 2.0 ghz is fine! it's a 530 mhz o/c... which is pretty darn good

it might be your psu limiting your oc

That's what I would say is the PSU I agree with bgeh. Also check your ram timings maybe try a slower latency or set them to the lowest and gradually work your way up.

Just put mine together last night. Abit NF7-S and 1700 Tbred B JUIHB 0302 both from Newegg. Running at 2075 (166x12.5) at default voltage of 1.65. Temps are under 45 at full load, (around 35 at idle). I'd take it higher but I have crappy ram (OCZ PC2400). Gonna get some better ram and run this puppy at 200 fsb. I know it has lots of room to grow :)

For a few days now, my Athlon XP 1700+ with the codes "AXDA1700DUT3C JIUCB 0250MPMW" has been running stable in an Epox 8RDA with a ThermalTake Volcano 7. It's going 1.67GHz (12.5x133MHz FSB) stable at default voltage, with a temperature of approximately 38°C at full load (Folding@Home, TINKER core). At this point, I've not tried overclocking via the FSB or increasing the core voltage (what's default for this chip, anyway?), though I am considering the possibility of doing those things in the future.

Edit: RAM is Kingston PC/2700 DDR SDRAM

default voltage is 1.6V not 1.65V

and it's JIUHB not JUIHB

Hey Shimmishim, thanks for correcting me. If it wasn't for people like you we'd all be dumb huh?

I just got a JIUCB chip that does 2400+ speeds (2000mhz) with a stock amd hsf (was originally on my 1900+ chip). It is 100% stable at this speed. It posts much higher, but I don't want to push my voltage any further (1.75v) without better cooling.

I just got an 8RDA+ and 1700 B yesterday.

My RAM's crapping out on me after 175 FSB, so i'm into multipliers now.

I've had it at 1.93GHz for 8hrs, stock voltage, FOP heatsink (who remembers those ;)) and 92mm quiet fan, 40C

It should reach 2Ghz quite easily, just not sure with how much voltage.

Currently I'm running my XP1700+ Tbred B at ~2GHz (XP2400+) with a 159MHz FSB (unstable at 160, unfortunately) and a 12.5 multiplier at 1.75 volts for the core on an Epox 8RDA non-plus with one 512MB module of Kingston PC/2700 DDR SDRAM. Temps are 46°C, FWIW. Good luck, and hope you get yours up and running too at the seemingly blazing fast speed of 2GHz! :p

I LOVE this 8RDA+!

FSB at 205, RAM @ 66% of that (i know it's sacrificing performance, but until I get some new RAM I don't care :p), multiplier at 10, voltage of 1.75 = 2.06GHz :D

Been running this for about 2hrs now, not crashed yet :)
