Yeah I know shimmy I plan to but I have to fork some money out on my site first so I can get my merchant account setup so I can sell those boards online :). I'm taking my company to a new level. I'm branching out to the web now. I love these tbred B's though it's to bad the Bartons are unlocked.

I'm gonna try another temp monitor other then the msi version anyone know which is a good one? I've seen many but I was wondering which ones are pretty accurate thanks sorry for the typos and no punctuation no time gotta go

That is the longest sentence _ever_.

Just ordered one from newegg.

So, the rumor I am hearing is that these are unlocked? True? (not just kt400 and nforce2 board unlocked)

my kt266a board has support for volt and multiplier adjustment, so am I good for up to 12.5x multipliers? Higher?

Thanks

Thanks for the reply Shim

Hmm - 12.5 x 139 (fasted my crap ram will go without barfing) is not too shabby for a $55 chip.

So, anyone have any link (with pictures) of how to unlock higher multipliers? My motherboard supports
up to 14x.

Thanks

I have a shuttle ak32a.
I originally asked if the multipliers were unlocked (like any motherboard that can via bios adjust them).

So, I pose the question again. my mb can adjust the multiplier in bios from 5x to 14x, if i pop a tbreb b in there, will i be able to change the multiplier with out an modifications? up to 12.5? Higher?

Thanks

Like I said, I've not seen any Kt266A boards that unlock the Tbred even if it allows multiplier adjustion. Wanna try it out on your board?? :D

Hi all, this is my first post here, but I have been reading many of the posts on this part of the forum for a long time. If my boss only knew how much of my time I spend reading about OC'ing, etc. :)

Just a quick question. Would this motherboard be a good mobo to use for overclocking the Tbred B 2100+? Trying to stay in this price range.

ALBATRON KX400-8X

Any help or opinions would help. Thanks all!

If absolutely possible, you could try getting the 8RDA vanilla flavor (plain) for $92 shipped. 12$ more, but worth it in terms of overclocking. Hey, just bring water from home instead of dropping a buck on it in the lunchroom for 2 weeks, or don't buy a bag of chips, just a sandwich? :D

Thanks! I'll look at those. :)

EDIT: I can handle the price on the 8rda. Will the 8rda perform similar to the Asus mobo in terms of OC'ing? Or is it worth it to save up for the Asus?

From what I have read it is even better dreamcat!

Most people feel Epox is the king of OC. All tbred chips come unlocked according to tomshardware.com's page. Read the latest article that has bits and pieces is in there about it. The new Barton's will not be unlocked :(.

To me it seems like a better overclocking board. I've got both the 8RDA+ and the A7N8X Deluxe and I like the 8RDA+ better in terms of overclockability. It's got higher Vcore adjustments, and the heatsink on the Northbridge is pretty easy to remove so I can apply my AS3 for a tad bit higher overclocking. 8RDA is just a + without the extra goodies, so it should overclock the same if not better.

What is an AS3?
On the 8RDA+ does the stock northbridge cooler have a fan in it?
What software comes with the 8RDA+?
Does it come with video editing software for the firewire ports?

I'm going to get it so I'm kind of excited to know what's in it.

AS3 stands for Arctic Silver 3 or high quality thermal paste(forgot the silver quantity)
and if i'm correct, the Epox 8RDA+ does not come with a northbridge cooler with a fan
it comes in barebones form, with little or none bundled software
but it's cheap:D

:)

i'm not at home right now... but if i remember correctly, it comes with one cd that contains USDM, a program that monitors the 3 fan headers (speed) and the voltages for your PSU (5v, 12v, -12v, -5v, vdimm...) rails...

it also comes with pc-cillin 2002 and maybe something else... but no video editing software...

Thanks again for the help everyone. I'll let you know how the OC'ing goes once I get my new mobo and CPU. (and RAM, and power supply, and video card, and etc...) :D

I'm looking to buy my second but the first one was for my buddy's computer and I'm using the money I made off that computer to pay off a debt I have. Once I get that paid I will buy one. I don't even know if the debt is mine waiting on the damn bank for statements on whether I payed it but yet I didn't even order it and I'm getting charged for it. $560 grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
