Worrying about antifa while your republic is being dismantled is like bitching about the cable being out while your house is burning down. Heard 2 shots, couldnt see anyone with a gun. No idea where the shots came from or who did it. Could have been someone in the SUV to get the protesters to move. Again. No idea without a clear shot of person with gun.

Says who?
That video shows protestors blocking a street, a vehicle breaking through, and the SOUND of shots fired. It demonstrates nothing conclusive about a gun.

Tell us how you drew your conclusions, and why you made that statement.

As a Portland resident, I sometimes feel like the guy in that scene from War Games after the WOPR computer faked a nuclear attack, "We're still here!"

The effect of propaganda is quite amazing. In particular, how it can make some people more afraid of a small disorganized group of hooligans than of a government that suppresses speech through police violence.

How did you know they were Antifa? Were they wearing Antifa jerseys? Badges? Did you check their membership cards and make sure they were renewed for the 2020-21 season?

Right! Hell, even my parents in IL "Are you guys OK? It seems really bad there". Pffft.

It's a couple blocks downtown. The only noise I worry about are the damn birds in the morning waking me up. Or the occasional train that is blowing it's horn non-stop as it crawls through the SE side. But yeah, Portland isn't a war zone. I've got nothing but motivational signs, chalk writings and posters put up along Clinton when I go for a walk or bike ride with my kids.
 
Any antifa supporter who uses a gun disgraces the whole meaning of the movement. Black lives matter is a reminder of what everybody knows or should know, that life is sacred and Black people for too long have not been excluded from that, as is their particular lives didn't.

All of that happened because people hate themselves and the handiest way to pretend that they don't is to project their own feelings of worthlessness on some other easily identifiable group. In Ireland, the difference is religion, in the Islamic world it is sect. It can be anything you imagine. Poor @Juiblex doesn't know he is actually worth something all by himself and has no actual need to tell himself he's better than other people, even those on the left. Like all of us he was made to feel worthless as a child and will have to suffer if he wants to let go of his crutch.
 
The canned orange juice I drank this morning didn't taste as good as fresh squeezed. I think Antifa must be tampering with the food supply. 😱
