Anthony Weiner's wiener

I'm sure every American who has done phone or virtual sex would like to have it read on national television.

This is out of the realm of 'political scandal' and into simple crass voyeurism. Forget real scandals about policy and money, worry about hot chat.

Yeah, like Charlie Rangel. He's still our favorite crook in NY.

Good luck with that.

Yesterday: Pelosi declines to call for Weiner's resignation

WASHINGTON – Amid increasing calls for Rep. Anthony Weiner to resign, House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi says the decision should be up to the congressman and his New York constituents.

The former speaker said in San Francisco that she believes the decision should be made by "the individual member" and the people in his district.

Today: Pelosi, Wasserman Schultz, Israel tell Weiner he should resign

House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi, Democratic National Committee chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz, and Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee chair Steve Israel have told Rep. Anthony Weiner he should resign.

Pelosi released the following statement Saturday:

“Congressman Weiner has the love of his family, the confidence of his constituents, and the recognition that he needs help. I urge Congressman Weiner to seek that help without the pressures of being a Member of Congress.”

Wasserman Schultz released the following statement:

"It is with great disappointment that I call on Representative Anthony Weiner to resign. The behavior he has exhibited is indefensible and Representative Weiner's continued service in Congress is untenable. This sordid affair has become an unacceptable distraction for Representative Weiner, his family, his constituents and the House – and for the good of all, he should step aside and address those things that should be most important – his and his family's well-being."

Israel issued this statement:

“Anthony’s inappropriate behavior has become an insurmountable distraction to the House and our work for the American people. With a heavy heart, I call on Anthony to resign.

“I pray for his family and hope that Anthony will take time to get the help he needs without the distractions and added pressures of Washington, DC.”

What a difference a day (and a 17 year-old girl) makes.

It hardly matters if he was inappropriate with a 17 year old girl. He was with "about" 6 women, and now that he's messaged a 17 year old girl even to tell her to stay in school and that was it it won't much matter.

I did not know they could be Weiner's constituents while being representatives for other districts. Learn something new every day.

weiner should tell them to fuck off, not pay his party dues ( $200k+ hahahha ), and go independent

if he does good for his district he should try to stay :awe:

So with all of the evidence regarding his online activities, you can't foresee a problem with him contacting an underage girl who can't vote, and is not in his district? You are that sure that this one instance is totally above board, given what has come to light with the other correspondences?

Why do I need to foresee anything when I can just look at what has actually happened? Both him, the girl, and her family have said there was nothing indecent or sexual about the contact. So it's not even his word against hers, there is simply no there there.

Id guess sex addiction like tiger woods.

'Cept Tiger was actually trimming the verge on many women, this guy just sent some stupid phone pix a la Brett Favre. Him seeking treatment for "sex addiction" would be like someone going to AA meetings just because they watched Beerfest.

weiner the internet flasher. I hope he contacted all your kids and they have his urological profile pic on their devices.

I've seen people compare Weiner's actions to to others, but I consider it something different. Similar to you I'm thinking he's a flasher, which most people find extremely creepy. Going to hookers or having affairs strikes me as something much different.

Looks like he's under a lot of pressure; wonder how long he'll be able to hold out before resigning.

Really?

So people hanging out in parks and flashing women don't have a problem?

The only difference is Weiner and Favre did it digitally.

They most likely do have a problem, but a flasher isn't a "sex addict". This line of thought was brought up b/c he said we was "seeking treatment" but I haven't seen for what.

In our society people look more kindly on 'addicts' than 'the insane'. As you mentioned, the likely things he would seek treatment for (serial flashing and the ilk) would be categorized as 'insanity' instead of 'addiction' which wouldn't go well for his career. If he were an 'addict' he might be able to salvage the situation. The problem is that if he claims 'addiction' he is flat-out lying.

Lol! He's seeking professional help. It like an episode of south park!
Help? Help for what? We've been told repeatedly by the left that he's done nothing wrong! :whiste:

He's pulling out all the stops and running through the entire playbook. He wants to keep his job in the worst way. Wants to be the mayor of NYC. What a pathetic little weiner.

Reading Pelosi's comments and others he "sick" and is getting help so he can "get healthy".

They're going with the feel sorry for him, let him get help so he can be all better again route. That's why it's exactly like south park, youre "sick" so spend a week in sex addict treatment and then you're "all better and healthy!"

He doesn't lie though and has done nothing wrong and is simply suffering from his illness. You wouldn't make fun of the sick, would you?

So you are coming out against all the Palin scandals we have to put up with?

The drop in housing prices has exceed the great depression, unemployment has exceed 8% for the long period since the great depression, our deficit is over $1 trillion for the 3rd year in a row, and yet the media is all in Alaska pouring through emails looking for anything bad by a person who has no power.

Bailiff! Wack his pee-pee!
