A few corrections are needed;
1) the high moral standards bar for the Republicans should be a thought balloon for the elephant.
2) the actual moral standards bar for the Repulblicans should be broken, rotted, dirty and condemned.
3) the elephant should be waving a Bible, screaming and spitting at the donkey jumping over it's moral standards.

You've really got this broken record thing going on with the "his constituents" shtick. This is what, the fourth time in this thread, the fifth? The rules are the rules. I know progressives like yourself don't feel rules have much value, and as such should be selectively applied, but we're still a country based on the rule of law. If you feel so strongly that the rules, laws and procedures that govern this situation are unfair, I suggest you run for office and change them. In a highly Democratic district with a large percentage of progressives, you'd be a shoe-in.

He's done and it appears he now knows it himself. The latest headlines proclaim that he's 'considering' resigning. When that happens, who will you blame? Him?

My understanding is that he's held nothing other than positions in public service, that he doesn't even have a law degree. It would be typical to wish him luck, but he'll not get that from me. Frankly, he's a piece of shit. I've stepped in better than him. I hope that he slinks off into obscurity where the only solace he gets is from his dick in his hand. It's obvious he's pretty enamored of it and I do think it's the only thing he's fully qualified to handle.

So why are in such a hurry to Weiner go? John Ensign stayed in office a few years after he banged his staff workers wife and violated law when there were $96,000 payoffs and jobs obtained to buy out the husband.

Ensign only resigned days before his scheduled appearence before the Senate Ethics Committee. It was also disclosed they were going to have him expelled.

He should have resigned too.

So should Weiner.

Fox news.

I'm not at all anxious for him to leave, I would much rather have him stay around. He is much more useful as a sitting congressman than he is as a resigned disgraced congressman.

Yep, that's why we support all the Red States with our taxes we don't pay. 😕

No Republicans in Blue States? But who cares if you pay all the taxes, that's the liberal ideal isn't it? Support those who are unwilling or unable to support themselves. So not only should you not be complaining, you should be paying MORE since you clearly aren't paying your fair share yet.

I should have been more specific though. Democrat leaders don't pay their taxes, they expect the working class to do it though as you indicated in how much Blue states pay.. But as I said, thats what you elected them to do.. so PAY UP.

I am OK with it, but if Republican states started pulling their own weight instead of being a drain on society, there would be money left for stuff we really should be paying taxes for like universal health care.
What do you suggest they do to "pull their own weight"?

i like how people who are the beneficiaries of 3 centuries of mercantilism complain that the targets of mercantilism aren't pulling their weight

You mean like Vi.... oh I'm not going to say it any more.

and what's this clown going to do if he does leave?? go back to hanging around play grounds and schoolyards?? And why would he leave..liberals have been encouraging this behavior for years. His behavior is in the spirit of ted kennedy and clinton.

My guess is he will apply for local high school girls volleyball coach positions.

Nope, he just announced that he is resigning to run for President. Attorney-General Eric Holder is also resigning, effective immediately, to run with him as his Vice-Presidential candidate.

Yup, get in line now for the 2012 Wiener-Holder ticket. Better hurry before all the Wiener-Holder buttons get snapped up.

😀 Hey, politics is NOT to be taken seriously, folks.
