Doing a google search, some guy in South Africa had one (pics and everything) and on some other forums, it's mentioned that they won't be available to May.

If you are talking about this guy, then those are pics from Antec private room showing at CES. They were taken by the guys at The Tech Lounge. AFAIK, it is still in prototyping according to the last thing we heard from AntecCSR. *resumes zen meditation awaiting P180* :p

Antec annouced a new series of Performance TX cases yesterday. Hopefully, it means the P180 is coming soon.

Same here. I'd buy a P160 (which I think looks better) except I'd need silver components, and already have a bunch of black ones laying around (I don't like the included doors). Make a black P160 and I'm sold. O/W I'd likely get a P180 or Silverstone.

No you wouldn't need silver components. It has two CD\DVD drive bay covers that cover the drives up. I'm using two beige drives with my P160 and you'd never notice.

I'd really like to get some reviews and be able to buy this case "before" I need to upgrade my new upgrade. :p

I think with BTX the fresh air is funnelled in right to the CPU Cooler and out the back like a kine of wind tunnell inside a case.

They've gotta be close. The TruePower 2.0 PSUs are for sale at Newegg. Logically, the new line of cases should follow shortly.

Cooler Master uses ATCS-TEC to build their cases; Tom?s Hardware has covered this connection in their case reviews. Check the following link for more info.
Toms info on ATCS-TEC

Who manufactures Antec's TruePower 2.0 PSU's?

AntecCSR,

Could you give some estimate(or date) when those Sonata II and P180 are available?

Check our site, once we have a new product up, it means it is shipping. Figure for most places another week or 2 (ie to get to retail/etail places as in stock) for North America.

I wish they'd change this policy, because if the Venice's come out and still no announcement I'll give up and get another Tsunami Dream:brokenheart:

I have given up waiting. It was my understanding that a prototype was shown several months ago and yet it is still not available. Several months ago I could afford to wait a couple of months, then it was given another month.

My perspective on what set this case apart from others was the separate area for the power supply which was to be "sealed" off from the rest of the case by gaskets.

Does anyone else know of a similar case design or a case that can be VERY easily modded in such a manner? (Answer as if I were Tim "The Toolman" Taylor!)

PS. I don't want a clear side or flashing lights. If distracting was ok then noise would be desired! :)

I really like the look of the p180, but I dont think I am gonna stick around waiting cause we have no idea when it is going to come out (probably months and months away).

I hate to say it, but I'm about to go to another case myself. The absense of the Antec rep with any update is also not a good sign. :(

I decided against the Sonata II now. The price is going to be around $150. Really fatal decision for antec, as they had the perfect price for the perfect case with the perfect power supply: $99 for Sonata (I) + 380W PSU.
