Makes no difference in the daytime, and at nighttime, all the senile, unexperienced, stupid and female (<~ good thing atot doesnt have alot of chicks) drivers forget that their tail lights are off

Um, it makes other drivers pay more attention, you are more easily seen.

umm wtf are you talking about ?
The tail lights don't come on when the day time running lights are on.
And the Daytime running lights are on automatically, it's not something you turn on or off with a switch unless you can mod it.

Because those same idiots don't turn their lights on when it's raining or foggy during the day, hence we get studies suggesting we need idiot lights.

yes, sometimes it's not just the headlights that are on. On the newer toyota's they have amber like light as DRL's

Cops can write more fix-it tickets, you're more visible coming around blind corners (if the sun casts a shadow off whatever the fvck is making the blind spot), etc.

have you ever driven a car?

of course you can see them in the daytime. I usually have my lights on, even if its daytime. Its a habit now, get in car, buckle seatbelt, turn key, turn on lights.

The problem, as Lazee so eloquently put it, is that dumbasses have light in front of them from the DRL's and don't bother to turn on their headlights when it gets dark, which means the ass end of the vehicle is dark.

The solution for that is to stop dumbasses from driving, or to institute the rearlights on in DRL as well.

Is this really a problem though? I've seen it happen only a couple of times in my 10 years of driving... i've seen no lights in the dark more often actually, so if they're going to be a dumbass, i think they're going to be a dumbass whether there are DRL or not.

That's why the rear lights reflect. You can't really shine up the front unless you're coming head~on

It's so that blind drivers can see you coming. Sorta like 3rd brake lights, gotta help those that shouldn't really be driving anyway.

I have NO IDEA what you were trying to refute in this specific post isekii.

Anyway, just annoyed me driving home today and i see a bunch of afore-mentioned drivers with no tail lights on. Especially annoying when someone behind me blinds me through the rearview.

For that reason alone, they are a great feature. I am astounded at the number of people who drive in blinding rain without their headlights on. Yeah, maybe THEY don't need them to see, but it's a pretty good idea to make sure everyone else can see YOU.

Yeah, that's exactly what he's saying - if you have DRL, you might not remember to turn your lights on at night, therefore leaving your tail lights off.

Well, i have DRL, and i always turn my lights on at night, because when they're off, the entire interior of my car is dark.

DRL do make it really difficult to tell where the funeral procession begins and ends.

I always think it is night time when I see headlights. It confuses me during the day.
