Water elemental towers have a slowing effect on the enemy, and all IMMUNE creatures are unnaffected by this.

Scoreboard added on the 9th... I got 20,000 score on the 8th but because of the canon 1st level nerf it isnt possible again.

EDIT: Bonus 4 is 20,000 hp each.

I should have taken a SS, but I have the entire place filled with cannons. There were onl a couple of spots I missed and couldn't overlap. I actually beat it just about half way down the lowest path.

I have finished with nothing but 3-4 fully upgraded fire towers and got as high as 4900, but I see the high score is 30K. My mind boggles at that score...

Yeah, there are tons of Tower Defense custom maps that people play online quite a bit. The custom maps really make WC3 worth buying again.

I only researched interest.

Same here. I did upgrade some of my cannons, but looking back that was probably not worth it. I think it's still better to have 2 L1 cannons than 1 L2 because of the increased firing rate of 2 cannons.

Also, I played around with the elemental upgrades some more. Earth towers are still very slow but they have a large range; you can make them work if you have a slew of them but they're not that great. A few strategically placed upgraded water towers can be mildly useful with the "splash slow". The fire towers are pretty effective; with splash damage, air/ground capability, and an OK rate of fire they are the best elemental tower IMO. The rockets are still pretty worthless even with the increased damage. You can upgrade them to be faster but in the end they're just too slow, especially in the bonus levels.

It's give and take with the cannons early on. Once I got to around level 25 or so, I could spend a lot and interest would still more than make up for it. By the last bonus level I got to, I had the entire map filled with level 3 cannons.

(1) 5 bonus levels added to end! (2) Combo tower now does 2,000 dmg! (3) Added a leader board! (4) Tower damage + rate has been adjusted to make the upgrades worth the gold and the element towers better than the standard ones.

Best I could do was 10k...I clustered fire towers in small groups and about 4 clusters around the map. I was able to finish the game this way. Look for JulesMax on the leaderboard...assuming I'm still on there. There seem to be some crazy high scores now.

Any tips from anyone? I didn't upgrade anything until the bonus levels and then started to upgrade some of my fire towers.

I almost beat bonus round 4. By the end I had a fire tower on every tile, but the creeps had 20,000 hp each.

WOuld have had a higher score, except that I wanted to beat all 5 bonus rounds.
