Very cute, but people like this can't hide anymore as teachers... with social media making the home lives and work lives so transparent for teachers, you are almost like a cop in that you are a teacher 24/7. Each decision you make off-duty, may impact your career as a teacher.

Posting drunk ass pics of yourself will put your ass in the hot seat.

A little off topic, but you aren't doing yourself any favors with stuff like that.

When you become a teacher, nowadays it's synonymous with a joining a nunnery.

The article implied that she was the one who made advances. We discussed this at lunch the other day - what seems most likely, and perhaps a reasonable explanation, is the female teacher was going through a rough time in a relationship, male student was hitting on her, and didn't take no for an answer - hit on her again and again, and eventually she caved in, craving the attention.

Reason for so few male teachers: They know that if they even rub the shoulders of a female student, they're going to FPMITAP. Female teachers - they know they have a 50/50 chance of probation if caught. And, we suspect, a lot may think that the boys won't brag to their friends if they make them promise to keep it a secret, even from their friends. Male teachers know that females can never keep a secret from their friends. ( 😛 )

Here is a hint... That person... You know the teacher? Is in a custodial role with the student. They have authority over them. That my misguided friend is what is wrong with teachers being sexually involved with children they teach or children that just go to the same school they work at.

Keep in mind that in many states, they would be branded a sexual predator as well.

If a teacher ever has that sort of relationship with my daughter, they better hope the school board and police get to them before I do. If I had a son I would feel the exact same way. NO ADULT and especially an adult in a custodial role over my child should ever think it is ok to have sexual contact with them. Pretty sure 99.9% of parents would back me up on that one.

You miss the point. It can not be consensual when the teacher is indeed in a custodial role with your child. If you can't understand why, then I hope you never teach children or ever have children.

at what age can they have consensual sex with someone who is their boss?

I'm not defending a 15 year old here, because that is clearly someone who doesn't have life experiences...yet they are someone who knows right from wrong.

THe idea here, is we save them from making terrible decisions that they would otherwise regret later in life.

You are painting this very black & white and sex is a very confusing thing when it comes to "consent"

Remember, the male HAS to be stimulated and get an erection, and then push it into a vagina. It would be very difficult for a woman to force this whole process unwillingly.

The reason consent is an issue, well, because consent is an issue....we say that children are not able to give consent. Bottom line. That's probably a wise thing to do.

Now because a 15 year old might be a well matured adult or a immature turd, we sort of arbitrary pick 18 which is the age most kids are when they begin to leave high school...and chances are if you didn't go through puberty by then something is wrong with you.
