Another Shooting: Garlic Festival in Gilroy, California

Here we go again:

At least one person with a gun killed at least three people at the Gilroy Garlic Festival Sunday evening. At least 15 others were injured though not all of them had been shot. The shooting started around 5:41 p.m. at Christmas Hill Park where the festival takes place.

As of late Sunday night, police had not released information about the shooter or his victims. The family of a 6-year-old boy told KRON4 that he was killed in the incident.

Fifteen wounded last I heard, three dead plus one gunman dead. A second suspect may be involved and on the run.

A six year old kid. Fuck.

Do you think there would be more litter or less litter if littering were legal?

Do you think there'd be more or fewer suicides if free speech was restricted so that we could only say nice things to each other?

The answer can't always be to take away rights, as you are so ready to do with rights that you don't personally have any affinity for. The fix for gun violence comes from improving society.

By the way, 1300 people (100+ of those innocent victims of second hand smoke) will die today due to tobacco, none of you care. It doesn't further your agenda. No Democrat politician cares, they haven't told you to care about it so you don't.

Remember the golden rule of gun obsessives, though: above all else, we must do absolutely nothing.

I mean the massacre of a few dozen children was met with a response of ‘we must do nothing’ so I doubt a few more shot garlic aficionados is going to matter to matter to the gun nuts.

Hopefully that will change in the future though as it seems that the NRA is collapsing under its own corruption.

Come on, people! Have you no shame? Shorty and Slow are right! It's too soon after the shooting to be talking about gun control, instead you should be sending tots and pears out to the victims so that you can feel like you've actually done something.

Then you can go back to living your lives and forget about this horrible interruption.

7000 Trump voters will die everyday due to old age and not having medicare for all.

I will not be sending thoughts and prayers.. I will not be caring since it doesn't further my agenda to help them!

Oh wait we already proposed medicare for all and tried to expand medicaid and medicare for all.. that the Red states chose not to implement.

GOP politicians - masters at killing their own base!

No way to prevent this, says only nation where this regularly happens.

We will see what comes out of this (e.g. where weapons were obtained and how)... But from the sounds of it, you couldn't have asked for a better response time. From what I saw on the reported news it was within 1-2 minutes cops were on-site and shot the suspect down.

Don't take the bait for the trolls guys. No derail today gentlemen... Let the children wonder why no one replies to their cries for attention...

I am a "when it's your time... it's your're time" kind of guy but this shit has gotten so far out of hand. A fucking garlic festival?

Was it an Incel terrorist that did this?
Santino William Legan
“Ayyy garlic festival time. Come get wasted on overpriced shit.”
“Read Might Is Right by Ragnar Redbeard.
Why overcrowd towns and pave more open space to make room for hordes of mestizos and Silicon Valley white twats?”
“Because I’m really angry.”
My first guess is insanity and easy access to guns.

Ohh boy... WTF

Legan also shared his views that include fringe white supremacist book written in 1890. Called “…one of the most incendiary works ever to be published anywhere,” by a noted anarchist, Legan quoted from the book in a post accompanied by a Smokey the Bear sign about fire danger. He wrote: “Read Might Is Right by Ragnar Redbeard. Why overcrowd towns and pave more open space to make room for hordes of mestizos and Silicon Valley white twats?”

According to the book Modern Satanism: Anatomy of a Subculture, Might Is Right by Ragnar Redbeard was authored under a pseudonym. It is purported to expand on Friedrich Nietzsche’s “theories of master–slave morality and herd mentality …”

The book is described as being akin to Social Darwinism and includes misogynistic and racist principles “claiming that the woman and the family as a whole is the property of the man and proclaiming the innate superiority of the Anglo-Saxon race. The book also contains many strong anti-Semitic statements.”

My first guess is everyone who kills people like this has to be insane to some degree... We all are to be honest. That said, what fuels the crazy person though... He clearly planned this and was shooting arbitrarily and posting about it. Not sure if "insanity" is going to fly. Sounds like he probably knows right from wrong and has some anger issues... Might be emboldened, too. Some are speculating...

Come on Slow. You don’t give a crap about statistical deaths anymore than anybody else. It’s just that your are motivated to defend a pro gun position and that need, fear in the form of childhood psychological insecurity and how the placebo effect of owning guns works to ameliorate that fear, creates in you a paranoid state that abandons rational thinking in favor of the power to rationalization via just this kind of low level thinking, the grasping at any straws that catch your attention. Just remember that to people who are not so affected your particular form of directed fear, but are unable to see the motivation behind it, will inevitably chalk it up to stupidity. That’s just how silly you sound.

No, I have a few guns, I shoot maybe a few times a year. I doubt I will ever need my guns for a self defense situation and keep them unloaded and stored at my house. I don't want any innocent victims of gun crimes any more than you do. I just don't blame the method, I blame the person causing the harm. And in America, our ways to address problems shouldn't be to continue to erode constitutional rights. People that want to kill and have an opportunity to attack unsuspecting victims by surprise will kill.

We do know if we took away guns from people prone to commit suicide there would be less suicides.

BTW - #1 source of gun deaths.
