That very same thing was said of an unknown fool, Bobo, the Post Turtle. Then the American people stood up and told the world, Yes, we really are stupid......and elected A true fool as President.

Yeah but that was over 11 years ago.

So you heard it on the 700 Club. I guess it must be true then:whiste:

I have never watched anything called the 700 club.

I like TV that has news, sex and violance. So NO, that is not the TV show I was watching.

Fail.

I miss Mr. Bush(43).

Name me one thing that this fool, Bobo, the Post Turtle, got right*.

I didn't say I read it. Pay attention. It was on TV.

So you haven't read it, which means you clearly have no basic understanding of it and yet you quote it's results to support your point?

You're referring to the Middle East Quarterly survey whose methodology was so grossly flawed that it would have only come to one conclusion.

Let's review the changes since your hero left office-

Healthcare reform? Romneycare, Repubs' plan from 1994.
Gitmo? No difference.
Iraq, Afghanistan? Same-same.
Patriot act? More of the same.
Taxes? The same.
Bailouts? Yep- he carried Dubya's water, followed through on it.
Stimulus? Yep- another follow through, loaded with fatcat tax cuts.
Deficits? Dubya signed up for a $1T deficit for FY 2009, near record deficits every year in office, so it's just more of the same.
Financial reform? Mamby-pamby at best, if Repubs will actually allow funding. They like it just the way it is, obviously.

I haven't figured out quite why Raving Righties hate Obama quite so much, other than him being black & having a (D) behind his name... So far, he's been the best Repub prez since Eisenhower.

Perhaps you'd care to be more specific, spell out why you hate him, not just that you hate him. We already know that.

WTF you talking about UBL is feather in his cap.
Also his supporting the overthrow of Mubarak in Egypt by the Egyptian People.
IMO the NATO Mission in Libya.
Giving the order for the Seal to pop those Somalian Pirates that hijacked the Mearsk Alalbama.
The draw down of troops in Iraq.
No Terrorist attacks on American Soil (Bush fluffers gave Bush credit for this so Obama should get it too)
Not starting any unecessary wars based on lies

Failures:
Failed to do away with the Bush Tax Cuts for the top 1%
Capitulated to the Party of fuck no and ended up with a Health Care Bill that enriches the Health Insurance Leeches.
IMO not making the situation in Afghanistan better, however that's almost an impossible task after his predecessor, GW Dumbfuck, screwed that up by invading Iraq instead of taking care of business in Afghanistan.
Caught with pants down over the Gulf Oil disaster. Not nearly as bad a Katrina but still a major blemish.
Not closing Gitmo
Not performing a miracle by fixing the economic mess he inherited

They should do this then with all those who believe in myths and religions. Herman the Vermin is an ordained Minister, probably of the nutjob Evangelical Christian Sect. Which would he be beholding too, the book oy myths called the Bible or the Constitution?

Well lets just elect atheists then. Point is what a person believes from a personal standpoint is irrelevant. Until that person's personal belief comes before their constitutional responsibility. The bs that a person of faith any faith is anymore or less susceptible to failure is just that bs. I see his point which is completely sane unless you bury your head in the sand or look the other way.

A lot of things and none of them good have happened in the name of islam. The things that have occured haven't happened here of recent decades in the name of any other religion. So to truly vet a person's true loyality to this country when islam is their religion is within reason. We do it with Supreme, federal, and state appointed court judges. How many have been blocked because they hold a particluar belief that may cloud their judgment on the bench. We did it with the Dubai Port deal.

Quite frankly we do this crap all the time. He was just dumb enough to say it publicly.

Caught with pants down over the Gulf Oil disaster.

They just played the PR angle wrong, because there was damned little they could do either before or after the spill started to have made things better.

If they'd played it right, Repubs would flinch every time offshore drilling was mentioned...

I never said he, Mr. Bush(43), was my hero, but I do miss him. The Fool Bobo, the Post Turtle, is a great danger and embarrassment to this nation.

You listed not a single accomplishment of his Administration.

p.s., I do NOT hate him. I totally disagree with his ideas and policies. As to him being "black", he isn't. I will grant he is not white but his color or race is irrelevant.

In the 2010 election I gave money to five different candidates in five different States. Two were black men. One was a black woman. One was a white woman. One was a white male and a Marine. All were Republicans. So, yes, it would appear I am racist. I agree.

Nice dodge. Your complaints are still non-specific raving & name-calling. Maybe you don't know or understand your own hatred, even deny that you do when it's perfectly obvious to everybody else.

Accomplishments of the Obama Admin? Mostly carrying forward the policies of his predecessor, of which I listed several. If you like Dubya, then you really should like Obama, because he hasn't rocked the boat much at all.

Come on, you've been around long enough to know that Jhhnn often is a baiter, who's thoughts cannot be changed by responding to him. All responding does is provide him with new bait.

Ignorance? What about what he said isn't true? Do you not believe there is a greater threat from Muslims than other religions? If you don't, that would show ignorance.

Gee I don't know, the bigotry that you and he share? I know you are a bigot and willfully ignorant, as demonstrated by many many posts here, but singling out a single religion for a loyalty oath is pure bigotry, and wrong.

Of course, you are so demented, you have no problem with it, but the rest of the world would. So sleep well knowing this guy won't get elected.

And I fear willfully ignorant people like you and others with such extreme views way more then any religion. People like you are the problem.

And you've been around long enough to know that what A777 offered as response to my query was, indeed, a total dodge.

"Hate 'um Obama! Call 'um names! Me miss Dubya!"

Why?

"Hate 'um Obama! Call 'um names!"

Why? Be specific.

"Hate 'um Obama! Call 'um names! Miss Dubya!"

????

You think that's rational argument? If Obama haters can't do any better than that, they won't convince anybody other than themselves.

If anybody has reason to be disappointed with Obama, it's Progressives, because he's way more like Bush than we would have liked. I laid it out earlier, and nobody has disputed the truth in what I said, at all.

And thanks, Garfield.

He may have lost the Muslim vote but its small enough to inconsequential. If ole Herman were a public official he would get dope slapped, but as a private citizen he can get away with this bigotry crap.

But cheer up Mr. Cain, you done pissed me off and I will never buy a product you are affiliated with. And I will suggest to everyone I know to do the same. Yep, and I don't forgive easily, when I get pissed off it last a lifetime.

Put that in your pipe and smoke it some time Herman Cain, in the hopes you will grow a brain.
Wow, now he's lost the Muslim vote and the, um, vehemently anti-Jew vote. If those weren't already solid Democrat constituencies, he'd actually be losing ground.

The amusing thing is that, while I understand the sentiment, any Muslim bound on harming American is hardly going to be derailed by an oath, something whose need Islam already takes into account anyway.

How did a thread about Mr Cain become about Mr Obama?

Righties know instinctively that when your own product is crap then the only way to make a sale is to bad mouth the other guy's wares...

False equivalency is one of the things holding up their Great Wall O' Fear & Denial.

My fairy tales are more correct than your fairy tales!!!

"Religion is an insult to human dignity. With or without it you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion." -Steven Weinberg

My bet to spidey07:

If a Republican or third party candidate wins this 2012 election - I leave this forum - forever; never to post again nor coming back under another name - I simply leave...

If President Obama wins re-election, then spidey07 leaves - under the same rules I've imposed on myself...

Spidey would seem to not place any value on money, but does of his word...

So, Spidey - shall you accept this little bet?

\your word means more to me than your money...
\\let us make a bet...

No bet

At least you figured out you must propose a bet first and not just "let's bet and I'll tell you what it is later".
