Well, with mutations now being verified imagine trying to make a vaccine with a yearly model number to boot. I doubt I'll be traveling within the next 3-4 years at the earliest.

We just cancelled Thanksgiving with the family. Christmas will probably be Zoom too. Nothing currently scheduled for 2021. Although half my extended family already got (and fortunately survived) COVID, so if we get it (assuming there's any kind of immunity past 6 months), then I guess get togethers wouldn't be a big deal at that point. I get tested from time to time due to my working locations, but haven't tested positive for either COVID or the antibodies yet, but it seems like just a matter of time 🙁

If you're open to road trips, AirBNB has a lot of isolated cabins & whole houses to rent for pretty cheap. I use them for work, like if I have to stay near a client site for more than a day. I can usually find something for cheaper than a local hotel & don't have to check in or talk to anybody, which is awesome! Only catch is that cross-state travel is starting to get more restricted. Restaurants require names & phone numbers, you have to fill out forms, do tests, self-isolate, etc., so planning is a little bit more involved now.

One of the things I was surprised to discover is that even tho I'm an introvert, I still need SOME social interaction IRL from time to time. I thought lockdown would be great, but there's only so much you can do at home, at your house, with the Internet, movies, video games, etc. before you start to get a bit stir-crazy. I can't imagine how my extrovert friends are handling it, especially for people who like to date a lot, go to clubs, concerts, do sports, etc. A lot of my friends are hiking quite a bit. In my area, they've started doing blanket concerts, where you're pretty spread out from other people, and that seems to be working pretty well. Just a weird, weird time...go nuts at home or risk dying from social interactions.

I am a introvert too and love it!

Anyone can go stir-crazy but there is plenty of things to do at home!

I just like my distance and space.

I found a resource that tells me everything that is open and close in all 50 states. It is updated too constantly for covid times.

You have to remember traveling still is unsafe because you have to go to the bathroom sooner or later.,

I hope we never go back to not social-distancing in grocery store lines tbh lol

The thing I forgot is I rarely shop in the grocery store anymore. Mainly do pickup to the car now.

Yeah I do Walmart trunk delivery for the most part, super awesome. I have a lot of friends who have moved to Instacart so they don't even have to drive anywhere haha.

We use Instacart, Safeway and Total Wine and More.

We just cancelled our last trip of the year. We were supposed to leave Saturday... I think the vacation part would have been safe, but the "getting there on an airplane" part was too worrisome. The only real downside is that now we're out 1 night at an expensive hotel, and I think we ended up paying a $25 cancellation fee at another hotel.
