Indeed. That being unwilling to bid thing did seem suspicious.

You live and you learn, I just hope the auction indeed gets up to $400. :)

I'm just glad I saw this thread, because I might be able to fetch 70+ for that old game in my closet. Sweet.

Hopefully you'll make some cash on it from real bidders though. Good luck.

Little Update:

I informed this jeffcowe person that I intended to let the auction run it's course. He wrote back to me an accused me of being greedy. Then I reported him for asking to do business outside of ebay. :D

LOL! What's greedy about giving a guy the opportunity to potentially save on his asking price by bidding on the auction?

I don't think Modeps is the greedy party here :)

Yes, because all the bidding is done already, and no one waits till the final hours.

You made the right choice, and good work on doing your homework. Even if its not 400$, I'm sure you'll get way more than you expected for the books.

Adding the auction to my favs so I can keep track of it!

Looks like you definitely made the right choice. Considering the amount of time left in the auction, I'd be surprised if you didn't come close to or even surpass the original $400 offered amount. Too bad you didn't split these booklets up to sell individually.

Yeah, hindsight is 20/20. I had no idea there was any demand for this stuff, I just put them all up hoping to make a buck.... and now I'm making more than one buck! :)

oh, and I like your name (we've got a personal joke in my group of friends that is your initials!)

Haha, thanks! I'll probably only spend like 1/2 of it and throw the rest in the bank for a rainy day. Stupid being married and responsible... ;)

Wow. That's amazing.

I was about to say "I wish I had kept all that stuff..." but then I realized, I didn't have that much stuff, most of it I borrowed from friends. (c'mon I was only 8...)

Damnit why did I throw all that old crap away?

My most favorite game I played for was Geopolitique 1990 purchased in October 1984. Threw it out about 10 years ago. :|

Just be very sure the final bidder isn't another scammer.

Get the money first before shipping, preferably MO or Paypal.

PS: I have a ton of C64 Games on disk and cartridge.
