Hello, and welcome to yet another feature borrowed from Opera.

Let me know when Opera stops charging for and ad-free version of their browser. Thanks.

Why do so many AT'rs use Firefox over Mozilla? Supposedly Mozilla is less buggy, doesn't require a separate email client, and I think people say is more advanced.

yah the mouse is for n00bs

its all about the keyboard shortcuts
What they said.

This thread might just complement the OS flame war that started a couple days ago. Viva la browser wars (i.e. "My Firefox/IE/Opera/Safari/Mozilla is better than your Firefox/IE/Opera/Safari/Mozilla)

I rarely even touch my keyboard while browsing... except, obviously, to post and such. Keyboards are so old school 😉

To be perfectly honest, asking for a nominal charge for an application I use daily for years and performs well does not bother me in the slightest.

I love Firefox, I use it with the Noia 2.0 eXtreme theme. Makes everything look a lot better. And I too get pissed when the mouse gestures dont work in any other program.

I switched to Firefox a few months ago... no looking back... tabbed browsing just makes sense... I can't see why anyone would still use IE.. it's useless compared to Firefox.

yes, but if the feature is free in another program that works as well (to my knowledge), why bother paying for it?

on another note, my company's internal website does not work with firefox so im stuck using IE occasionally.

Ugh i've hated tabbed browsing ever since I first used it, years back....worst idea to happen to browsing, ever.

I'd rather get a comparable product for free. Paying $39.99 for something when I can get another product that is as good for free makes no sense to me personally. Opera is a great browser, I'm just not paying for it. If you feel it's worth it, great.

How is it worse than having 5 different IE windows open?

Eh everyone here is about opinions. I think opera is a great web browser but I still use IE. IE is a problem because ppl don't know how to configure it= getting spyware etc.. Agian opera is good but I would still rather use opera, for EX. if a PDA had opera on it and not IE. I would be ok with it.

I hate using IE, now, because I use mouse gestures, and start getting pissed when they don't work. Then I realize I'm using IE, and "bear" it for the time.

Haha... I do the same thing. I've grown so accustomed to the convenience of gestures that I find myself trying to use them in other programs. Like using down-right to close a Word document for example.

Same.

I wish they had gestures for Windows.

That would rock 🙂

Mozilla is only less buggy in the sense that Firefox is the experimental build of the next Mozilla. Yup, in the next Mozilla, they are going to replace the old browser with Firefox. So technically and realistically, Firefox is more advance.

Firefox is MUCH MUCH better than IE.
I love the web developer plugin! Haven't tried the gesture yet.. but I will now 😛
I only use IE for microsoft update now, I even removed all shortcut to IE to prevent me accidentally click on them hehe..

I just DL'd it this morning after reading this thread and i'm liking it so far...guess i gotta try that obscene mouse gestures thing.
