But I couldn't not use Firefox now!

Unless I was using Phoenix or Firebird ;)

Mouse gestures usually require something almost foolproof. Like holding the right mouse button down while you execute your mouse gesture to do something. Just moving the mouse around doesn't make Firefox do anything. You should try it. It's fun.

Theres an application called "Stroke-it" that allows you to have mouse gestures everywhere.

As for firefox, IMO the "Adblock" tool is better than anything else firefox has, it even gets those annoying java and flash ads usually.

Web Developer extension adds a menu and toolbar to the browser with various web developer tools.

This{ec8030f7-c20a-464f-9b0e-13a3a9e97384}">http://update.mozilla.org/extensions/?application=</a> is the main Firefox Extension page.

And for those of you complaining about some website only works with IE, try IE View. You can use it to load up IE-only pages when you run across them in Mozilla.

InverseOfNeo, I agree, Noia 2.0 eXtreme is pretty cool.

Because IE sucks and is mainly used by people that don't know any better?
And because of http://texturizer.net/firefox/faq.html#mozvsie

Isnt firefox based on Netscape?

Yes, the whole Mozilla project is, I believe.

Yeah thats whats turning me off.....never could stand Netscape, but hey I'll give firefox a try.
No, Firefox is based on Mozilla. Netscape is based on Mozilla. Mozilla uses the Gecko code. Gecko is a complete re-write and has no Netscape code in it. Remember it was a big deal since Gecko is open source, which was a new thing back then? I've used Netscape since I think version 2 and have always thought it superior to IE. BTW, Adblock works on Mozilla too. Oh, and the offical name of Firefox is "Mozilla Firefox".

I'm curious, where did you read that?

Ugh i've hated tabbed browsing ever since I first used it, years back....worst idea to happen to browsing, ever.

How is it worse than having 5 different IE windows open?

I find that when you've got multiple IE browser, plus other programs that you're switching among, its muuuch much easier to navigate between them with NORMAL browsing.

I thought the exact same thing when I first tried tabbed browsing. I got used to it after a few days and think it's the much better way now. How lond did you try it?

What don't you like about it? I'm completelly addicted to the fact that it kills pop-ups.

Nutscrape 4.7 > *

j/k, I switched a couple months ago to FF .93 and I'm loving it. As a web developer the various plugins available are a life saver. Unfortunately since the majority of the visitors to my site are IE users, I have to thoroughly test it in that browser as well before I release anything. That makes the IEView plugin my favorite. I find that once I code my pages correctly for FF, making minor changes to get it to work in IE is easier than doing it the other way. Plus my HTML/CSS is more standards compliant meaning it will probably work in other browsers (Opera, Safari, Konquorer, etc.) if it works in FF. I've said "well it works in IE, I don't know why it doesn't work in browser X" enough times than I care to admit.

I've had the google toolbar for a loong time...so that was never an issue...plus SP2 has a built in popup blocker.
