Lee Scott has been doing a great job lately and so has Wal-Mart. good for them.

not only are they giving over $15 million in aid, but also foods from their warehouses and stores and other supplies.

So? They contributed. I highly doubt everyone involved in this decision was evily grinning at a conference thinking how they could profit off these people. 15 million is a lot, it can definitely do a lot of good and should be something that should not be debated at all. This is why it is so good that we have huge corporations in this nation, they have a duty to step up when help is needed.

remember that Wal-Mart has taken a hit too in this disaster. at the highest peak, 140 or so of their stores were shut down. now i believe its 80. also many of their employees are affected by this disaster

lets not forget the loss of daily sales.

still, Wal-Mart is doing very good by sending in relief. it is greatly appreciated

Pigmart stinks. On second thought, $15 million is a solid chunk of change. Please disregard the Pigmart stinks comment.

Target, Kroeger, Best Buy, Office Max, Home Depot, Lowe's are not too smaller than Wal-Mart.

lets see how much they contribute

just be happy they are giving aid.

okay, since you realize that $15 million is a decent amount, its all good :)

but don't hail them like they're awsome heroes... I mean, it's a pretty paltry sum in terms of their total profits, it's great press, and the faster these people get on their feet, the quicker they can go back to shopping in and working at Walmarts :p

it's not evil or anything, just more pragmatic than benevolent.

15,000,000 / 189,000,000,000 = 0.0079%
