lol, at first I am not sure what you are talking about. I have to click one of the links to look at the pictures. After that, all I have to say is, some people have too much free time on their hand.

Hm? Fashion advice from a guy wearing sneakers to work?

I'm wearing jeans, loafers, a striped shirt, boxers, and socks to work today. That puts me in at about $296.

I'm not sure I need to be reading this thread.

My shoes alone were more than that (had to go to court today though, so i'm decked out)

I've got two vertical stipped shirs - i like em, but lately i've been going with plain color ones for the sheer excess of them.

were you reading razor?? I was perusing at the local barber shop yesterday and they recommended his shirts. I went online and they are very nice but...i have trouble justifying 250 on a shirt. Thats a BIT too steep. My most expensive shirt was only 100 bucks.

It is entirely relevant. If you use the language of the group you are bitching about then you really lose credibility.

Hey guys! I thought it wath tho gay that those fagth were wearing the stripthes on their button-upth!

vs.

Man, <burp> effing pretty boys <fart> and their goddam stripes shirts <scratch balls> really annoy the <sniff> crap outa me <burp>.

Notice, cro magnon man comes accross as someone making a rant where as the flaming gay guy just seems like a hypocrit.

it depends on your objective

if you want to just buy a shirt it doesnt matter

if you want women to think you are are a sharp dresser it matters very much.

If you want a shallow women who equates the way you dress with personality and social status then it matters.

In other words if you want ass, then dress and act like one.

A shirt as a shirt, as long as it fits and is comfortable, what difference does it make?

every women does this and most men too. I do not think it has to do with being shallow. ITs human nature to judge people on there appearances. Girls notice what a guy wears. FACT. Can you lay classy chicks wearing your shitkickers and torn blue jeans with grease on them......absolutely. However, it can't hurt to make a good first impression by paying attention to your dress. Obviously this is more for ppl without a wife and family already. Clearly when I am shaked up with a girl, I will likely just shop for my clothes at walmart.

Nah, I'm all set, but thanks anyway :)

If I tried to use a shirt to make me look taller and thinner, I'd disappear when I turned sideways.

A recent addition to nightlife is the prevalence of the vertical striped button up on men.

Now let me just say I am a big fan of button ups when I am going out whtehr they are striped/checkered/solid color I love button ups and always have.

Now it seems that the masses have been awakened to the growing trend that guys should be wearing vertical striped shirts. Ok this is great, they make you look taller and thinner perfect! WRONG!

PSA: JUST BECAUSE IT HAS VERTICAL STRIPES DOES NOT MAKE IT FASHIONABLE!!!!!!!

Every company in the world is making vertical striped shirts for men now. You cannot just buy one and think you are now "in". Buying a vertical striped shirt is a complicated process taht should not be rushed.

You should throughly investigate all your options regarding the stripes colors, widths and fabrics.

You should not go cheap here.

If you want to rock a vertical stripe shirt I recommend you dont buy it at AE, Abergay or old navy. In order to stand out in a flock of men wearing vertical stripe shirts your going to need an extra edge! My recommendation if you are not fashion savvy is to head over to an upscale department store and ask for help!!! They will piont you in the direciton of some of the nicer button up collections availble.

Ok make your comments now.

bye.

You are passionate about this but I wonder who else cares..

How about adding a poll to this thread and finding out?

Maybe but I have never sought after high maintenance chicks. God knows I work with a ton of them (I actually work for a high end fashion company) and it's rare that any of them ever catch my eye.

But back to my OP I was referring to what you are wearing when you are going out to club or bar or place where presumably you are going to meet chicks and get laid. So just keeping it in that perspective it was just a tip for the less savvy not so much a complaint.

Banana Republic Stretch Solid Dress Shirt: $70
Nordstrom Brand Flat-Front Wool Pants: $60
Banana Republic Black Undershit: $15
Skagen Silver Watch: $150
Kenneth Cole Shoes: $120

Getting "I want you to f*** me eyes during my lunch break": Priceless.

(In all honesty, I'm wearing all this crap for a job interview)...normal Friday's I would wear a $15 T-Shirt, a $50 pair of Jeans, and a 4-year old pair of shoes.
