44/60.5C temps at the moment.
:p

glad to see your .. "plenty fast for now" last less than a few days.

Yeah, BF1942 suddenly started to run real sluggish. ;)
Thanks for the help here.

People who cant run 200 FSB on their barton usually have other problems holding them back. Most will do 200+ with ease with good memory. Mine will do 227 which isnt bad for non BH5 ram

4989 3DMark03 OC'ed vs. 4787 stock. Not much.
Tighter mem settings might help out here. Running default memory settings now.

if 60C is your absolute maximum, like running prime95 for a long time, then you're fine.
assuming you don't do divx/xvid encoding for extended hours, then you'll never actually hit that 60C temp in real life.

definitely do the prime test for a day or two, and if you don't have errors, just leave it the way it is.
turn on the front case fan, and volt to 7volts for quietness and more cooling.

44-55C in normal everyday life is A-OK.

Yeah, ~60C (±1) seemed to be the highest stable temp I got. It ran at ~43C under no/normal load. The second fan should bring it down some I guess (1-2C?).
It's fun to now I got power under the hood.
What i don't know is if the CPU temp is the actual on-chip core temp or if it is some other sensor.
