77 with 6 towers

Try putting the flamers at the bottom of the first turn, their ROF makes of for their range. I put 3 of them there, which is the only placed I used them. I sued a 2 Trees and an Ice tower in the center for range.

Made it to 75. It gets really tough when towers disappear, though.

choose a layout for your towers first, lay them out, and if one disappears it only costs the initial money.

One of the ones that disappeared was upgraded all the way....

Oh, are you saying they only disappear when new ones are added? If that's the case, I'll follow your advice. Thanks.

In my experience so far, I haven't had one disappear that was already on the screen while I was upgrading a tower.

I got 79 this time....

Spreading them out and especially putting them at the ENDS of the pathways seems to be the way to go.

BTW I used 8 FU green towers and 2 FU blue ones.

Yeah, I build all my towers before the 20th wave or so. Right now I build 13 trees, I can get 12 of them up to full power. I've made it to 83 once, get to 80-81 pretty consistently. It'll take a significantly different strategy to get to 90. I've no idea what that strategy might be, if I substitute a ice or fire tower for any of the trees, I don't seem to get as far.

I tried the same technique and made 81. That's probably about it, unless there is a significantly different way to go about it.

I made it to 75 by placing two fire towers at the bottom turn backed up by two ice towers. Then at the top turn I did the same thing. I was also able to get the flower. It works well in the earlier levels (under 50) but doesn't seem to do much after that. After that I stationed fire towers pointed in the oncoming direction to traffic on other turns.

I also put a few ice towers in the center for the extra range. Can't seem to get past 75 though.

75 is my highest.

I'm consistenlty between 72-75 though, breaking that is tough. 9 full strength trees spread around on the ends.

Switch to trees... Try two horizontal rows of 4, one in the middle and one bottom middle. I usually put two around the corner at the top middle and then two or three more somewhere else (13 total)... That should get you to 80 or so. But again, I've no idea how to get to 90. Or even 84.

74. I love having the two ice towers along the first stretch... Not sure how effective the others are though.

You need to put the flowers at the end of the stretches, especially at the bottom, so they can cover the initial stretch head on and the final path to the castle. Damage/rate of fire is much better when facing the dots head on.

Seemed to work pretty well in this lineup.

wow... What is your initial setup when doing that? I tried something like that, and they couldn't kill them fast enough... So I was losing citizens before I could make any decent money.

Put a lightning tower at the end of a row. That'll let you upgrade a nature tower enough.
