wow... What is your initial setup when doing that? I tried something like that, and they couldn't kill them fast enough... So I was losing citizens before I could make any decent money.

Build the lower left tower first, back it with another nature tower.

Upgrade the bejesus out of the lower left tower. Don't build ANY more than that until it's comfortably mowing down everything before the second turn.

Did the bottom row of 4 fire when the dots were going along the top parallel stretch? If not I'm thinking maybe we should raise that row up just enough to make that happen so they continue their fire.

No, they don't. If you move them up though, you lose the ROF bonus for being in line. But as always - it's worth a shot. Try it and post back 🙂

I did something pretty similar, with not as much success:

I always just start with only 1 tower and upgrade it as fast as possible, that will kill everything long enough to build new towers.

because you built 3 weak towers instead of one full tower.

 
damnit 78 🙁 so damn buggy.

on of my flower towers seemed to not shoot anything in front so no speed bonus. If I had a tower that actually worked would have gotten to probably 80 atleast.

That's better than nothing, but it still moves too slow I feel, takes like 30 min to get to lvl 50. I don't have problems with flash games that take more than 30 min, just that I don't feel like I'm doing a whole lot in that time period. Would be nice if they gave you more money for each kill and the 'enemies' were a little harder from round to round, instead of minor increases in health/gold each round. Ah well, it's not perfect, but I still like it though, just nitpicking.

I calculated the per damage/total cost

Fire 3.06
Water 2.18
tree 3.79
flower 3.95

so flower is only marginally better with much less range and rate. therefore i don't think flower is worth it

tree is the way to go, i also don't think it's useful to spread it out, the max damage/time is done when it's closest i think if you go up in the upper right that will maximize time.
 
The game has been modified according to the site, which makes me wonder if the author's level 90 was done under a different set of conditions. :beer:
 
PSA: Level 99 is the highest level you can get to. After that, it stops recording your level (rather truncates teh hundreds place) in the "You Scored" board.

Are you sure about that? Sounds like BS to me, but I only played it once. It wouldn't let me put towers near the enemy entrance for some reason (like the whole left side of the screen), I could only keep them around my castle, so that's probably why it seemed to slow (took the dot army a while to die). But level 82 in 17 min? Hell I dunno, I can't really argue it since i've only played it once 😛
