The jews didn't walk into the gas chamber and throw the switch.

Now someone will twist that into me stating that all jews should die in a fire. Gotta love the internet.

Why did you choose the poster name of VulgarDisplay? What's your rationale behind that choice for that online identity?

Protect your damn kids, give them the attention they deserve. This girl had no business flashing her breasts on Skype at age 12..nor did she have any business "hooking" up with any guys either.
I blame the parents for not protecting their kid.

Its not the media's fault, its not Facebook, its not fucking Twitter or Instagram...its these dumbass parents that let society raise their kids while they do whatever it is they do. When the kids come out messed up..its always somebody else's fault.

Columbine? Video Games
Virginia Tech? Video Games
Amanda Todd? Facebook, the guy, the bullies, etc.

This isn't my online identity. I'll say everything I've said here in person.

Now, bring on the internet tough guys.

The only one trying hard to be an internet tough guy through all this seems to be you, Mr. Persecution Complex.

Instead of lashing out at everyone like a child yourself, maybe wonder, "Hmmm...how can a dozen or more odd people have such a low opinion of me or what I said? Could it be that what I said came across terribly douchey and foolish? Or maybe I did a horrible job conveying what I truly meant?"

Nah, they must ALL be internet tough guys out for blood. Oh, you're such a martyr.

God people are dumb. Are you new to the internet? I said that anything I say here I will say in person, which in any other internet forum in history is immediately followed by at least 1,000 morons who say things, "You wouldn't say that to my face." or "I would kick your ass in real life."

I don't care if I sound like a douchebag. What I say is my opinion, and it's your opinion that I'm lashing out like a child. It's also my opinion that everyone who's trying so hard to change the way I think through angry forum posts are being more childish than I am.

You should start using someone else's opinions from now on, yours are apparently not very good.

This is some sick b@stard motherfvcker sh!t here:

Kody Maxson is allegedly Kody1206...

Essentially, The Daily Capper is a community of individuals who lurk in video-chat rooms with the sole purpose of surreptitiously taking screenshots and recording video of the person whom they’re chatting with.
...
The Daily Capper also hands out awards—visualized as a golden webcam—to members of the community who cause the most harm to their victims, elicit the greatest amount of lulz, and are the most successful at blackmailing. In a video announcing the nominees for this perverse award ceremony, “Kody1206” is mentioned.
...
Following these nominations, The Daily Capper posted a video that has now since been removed, announcing the winners of their 2010 awards. It awarded Kody1206 as blackmailer of the year

Who do you think the family blames?

I'm sure they blame everyone but themselves.

What response did you want?

I'm positive they think it couldn't possibly be their fault that their 11 year old girl gave dirty pictures to a 30 something year old man. After all, an 11 year old should have unsupervised access to the internet. I'm being EXTREMELY sarcastic.

That's not the point. The point is that in encouraging the suicide, he gains pleasure from the misery of people he's never met. That, to me, is more selfish than the suicide itself.

Six of one, half a dozen of the other. He probably doesn't think it's funny anymore and has to live with that for the rest of his life. Every single person in her family has to live with the fact that she is dead. Losing loved ones sucks. Intentionally making life miserable for everyone in your family is pretty selfish.

Her parents probably feel like scum simply because she drank bleach and survived, and then went on to OD and drugs and survive, and they didn't have the common sense to check her into a freaking hospital.

Her intention was to end her own misery, not to make life miserable for others, even if that technically did happen as a result of her actions. The 30 year old acted for no reason other than to spread misery. The shithead probably laughed when he heard the news, similar to what you did.

Self-sacrifice only extends so far. I would hate it if a loved one offed themselves. I'd hate it even more if I found out they were staying alive just to save me a bit of grief. It's their life more than it is mine, and to me, saying that we collectively have a right to make life miserable for someone just to save ourselves 'the trouble' is much, much more selfish.

Flashing your boobs in a anonymous camera site like chat roulette or a few others is not asking for it but is instead simply a stupid act for fun and giggles generally at such a young age.

What I talked about would be what some "internet celebs" do and make very public stories and then complain when they get made fun of just like real celebrities do for doing stupid stuff.

It kinda seems like parenting fail also as was mentioned and if nothing was done about that guy then that needs a explanation also as it said he was from canada and they have decent laws dealing with this unlike some 3rd world areas.

The problem is that she simply wasn't one of the lucky ones who get out of the "ignorant, stupid and careless" phase alive. It sucks, but it happens every day. Darwin had a hand in this whether you like it or not.

Parents could be amazing for their kids, and do everything perfectly. It doesn't mean they have cameras in every friggin room of the house monitoring said young ignorant and foolish children. Even the best parents can't stop horrible things from happening, and this girl seemed pretty set on destroying her own life one way or another. Self destructive tendencies show themselves in more ways than playing with sharp objects or consuming drugs... this girl obviously had inherent issues, trying to impress random old guys on the internet due to some kind of emotional instability, the inability to cope with it correctly or to try to resolve the issue with proper actions. She screwed up numerous times in numerous settings.

A similar thing happened to me, and the only reason I am here today is because I got lucky. Most of you are here today for the same damned reason, and probably had just as terrible things potentially happen to you.

She was unlucky and suffered the wrong mixture of dumb, young and unstable. It happens. It might have been a weird stalker pedo today, or drunk driving/overdose tomorrow. The poor girl was just fated to lose.

I didn't laugh when I heard the news that she died. I laughed when some random high school kid got so many dislikes for saying "Going to take down Amanda Todd's bleach drinking record." he ended up on my News Feed.

The bleach drinking episode wasn't even what killed her.

Some people use crappy browsers without them for some reason.

some people give up on spell check for it's auto-correcting of technical terms and otherwise in forums they frequent of a more specific nature and/or their own internal systems.

I've "trained" my spell checker, and I get what you are saying, Alkemyst. Sadly I nowadays actually get surprised if someone manages to spell and use grammar. I make mistakes, of course, but it sometimes looks like a few of us have given up.

For the most part, no one should expect perfect spelling and grammar here. Most are not giving these 'posts' 100% attention.

It's easy to start typing a word you heard in the background or mistake there/their/they're without even thinking about it.

The really sad part is when someone gets focused on that even though 99% of the people out there would fully understand the point that was being made.

The RCMP is on the case, they have over 400 tips, but it's a good thing they got Anonymous giving them a helping hand. And to think that the RCMP were prosecuting Anonymous because they released details of some corrupt Canadian Politician.

I watched most of her video after seeing in the news for so many days after her suicide. I found it really sad but it's kind of strange how social media and technology seemed to be behind all this crap. The kids really take this stuff seriously. I think Facebook should be shut down and what does a kid need a cell phone for?

Yes, because of internet trolls, let's shut down Facebook. While we're at it, let's ban cars because of stupid drunk drivers.
