I don't think you understand what happens in a mob mentality. Hell look at half the shit that goes on here by those that try to hide their identities here...and these guys have to stick in the rules of the board.

and i still don't really get it. How did the schools/parents and police never get involved? How does someone hate you just because some guy talked a bunch of crap about you and showed them your tits? Why didn't she remove her FB account? i deleted mine, ignoring crap on the net is easy, so how it followed her around to her school friends and why those friends cared is curiious

i never saw a detailed story of events, the article i read seemed kinda vague really.

How dumb is the girl if she was "tricked" into showing her tits. I'm sorry, but I don't feel bad for her in this case. She was bullied, it happens, but suicide is a pussy way out of it.

The common Demoninator behind all this crap was Amanda Todd, not Facebook. Her actions caused all of this to happen to her. Kids didn't just bully her because she showed her breasts, she was bullied because she's reported to have been an attention whore who not only flashed her breast to that pedophile guy, but masturbated on camera and flashed for other boys, she also reportedly had a problem with sleeping around at the schools she wen't to which is why nobody liked her..which is why she got beat up at school.

You are blaming the media for everything that happened to her when none of this shit would have happened if she kept her shirt on and her legs close.

Sure, bullies used Facebook to talk about her..sure, she used a TEEN chat website to flash her breasts...

Yep, everybody's fault her own.

We don't need to shut Facebook down. We need to shut people like you, who feel that individuals don't have personal responsibility, down.

Most kids her age are do not have the mental development to be able to differentiate, you can say they tend to be more vulnerable. I can tell you're going to be one shitty parent one day.

I've taught my kids to stand up for themselves, and to talk to me if they are ever bullied. I also don't teach them to blame others for everything, which is what is happening here.

Yeah, a lot of parents tend to think that, and I truly hope you are right about yourself as a parent.

Be careful if that's your opinion everyone on ATOT is going to bully you like they did to me. I need to go finish my youtube video about how sad I am now.

Kinda odd, girls who "slept around" were always the popular ones when I was in HS, that was a long time ago maybe shit has changed..

oh, the ending to the story led me to believe otherwise. o_O and to think it didn't take anonymous near so long as to find the guy..but whatever, where is the detailed story of events? kinda have to see how things gone down during that 2 years to make much judgements.

If the school/parents and law were really involved and cared...then that is pathetic

The great thing is I know I am a good dad. I am involved in my kids lives, when I get home from work I give them my attention and work on school stuff and play with them. I don't need to worry about what some internet people think about it. But back to the point, this girl is not an innocent girl, she wasn't mentally handicap or anything where she didn't understand what was going on. She had a history of doing sexual stuff, so she can't act like a victim.

Meh I'm cool with people killing tghemselves , I think more people should consider it. Though it sounds like this girl was putting herself in bad positions and building a bad reputation for herself. Got a dose of reality and ended it, you guys say it's sad, I say it's just another thing. Her parents neglected her, nothing else can really be established from the info available to us.

The other thing I find hilarious about Anonymous being involved in this is that if she was fat and ugly they would have been racing the other guy to drive her to kill herself. She was a pretty girl so people actually care.

what i don't get though, is how this one person caused all her school friends to dislike and bully her too?
she said she ate alone at lunch, got beat up..etc, etc. The bullying followed her when they moved?.....how the heck does that happen?

What i also wonder is what did her parents/school and authorties do during all this?...well obviously not enough or nothing but surely after her first attempt at suicide, she would have been put into some kind of mental facility?

So the guy harrassed here only online? did she not know how to delete facebook/ignore or even not use the stupid internet?. i'm obviously missing something but seems like a weird situation to me. So he had a pic of her boobs, big deal..how does that lead others to beat her up?

I am speaking hypothetically: the first incident occurred where she is blackmailed and then her school makes fun of her. This causes her to retreat from people and distrust everyone. When this happens even actions that are acts of kindness towards Amanda can seem like a trap or veiwed as someone who has ulterior motives. From there it cascades downward where her actions and reactions push people away. They no longer attempt to be friendly and then she is bullied because she is a weirdo.

I think this is a very plausible scenario to occurr. Although I am not saying that is what happened here since we do not know the whole story.

i disagree, just because someone does not fit your personal ideals to where you and a group considers them wierd, unusual or whatever does not give anyone the right to perform hatred acts to them. Its natural for teens to be doing "sexual stuff" anyway. Heck at 16 i was trying out the "seated scissors" position on any girl that had a pulse...so what?

Have you even watched the video? It makes it obvious that her parents and cops knew based on what happened Christmas Day.

wow bro, so since you have a history of sexual stuff you wouldn't be a victim if some dude broke into your house one night and ass raped you?

Kids need cell phones today because there are no longer payphones anywhere.

Kids under 15 need no such thing. They need to be around their parents, or in the presence of other adults that have cell phones.

I grew up in an area that didn't have payphones and I didn't have a freaking cell phone of my own until I was 18. I survived that deprived experience. Contrary to popular belief you wouldn't instantly die if you didn't have a cell phone.

Not sure that's true, but if we agree that it is, there are plenty of phones available that can allow kids to make a phone call in an emergency without giving them access to the big bad world wide web.

Definitely, kids don't really need smart phones.

She didn't do ANYTHING that justifies being threatened, pursued to a different school, or any of the other crap that happened to her. Those are the things that made her a victim.
