<< At the very least she gives him companionship and he gives her money >>

Zucchini,

That's the point: HE DID NOT leave her any money. There is no demonstrable evidence that he intended to trade half his wealth for a piece of ass. If that were the case, he would have specified her as the beneficiary in his will. He didn't do that.

It's ridiculous to argue that she should get half of the wealth he spent a lifetime building in return for 14 months of marriage.

Is it just me, or does anyone else find the very notion of a half billion dollars being in Anna Nicole Smith's hands to be just a little disturbing? 😛

I bet the people who support Anna's groundless, frivolous claims here are the same folks who probably rooted for that woman who spilled coffee on her crotch and got several million dollars from McDonals. Thanks to that b|tch, all convenience store/fast food restraunt coffee has to be microwaved at home now before drinking 😛

And FYI, Anna Nicole fscked so many other guys during her "marraige" to that Texas billionaire, that it's not surprising that the old man left nothing to the ungrateful wench.

Russ,

The act of marriage shows that he did want to leave her money. Don't tell me that you wouldn't know your fortune would go to your wife after marriage if you died. No one is that ignorant.. especially the rich. This shows that he intended to trade half his legacy(kinda funny calling it wealth after your dead) for a peice of ass. As for the will, he didn't change his will to exclude his wife right?

and cybersax, your comparing apples to oranges, and in an insulting way of course.

<< Don't tell me that you wouldn't know your fortune would go to your wife after marriage if you died. >>

GEEZ, how many times does this have to be explained? He EXCLUDED her from the will. The only time the assets automatically go to the survivor is if the the deceased was intestate. Otherwise, they go to those specified in the will.

Lets get serious here. First, lets at least acknowledge that there was nothing inherently "good" about this marraige. It was a marraige of convenience. She wanted money. He wanted pussy [EDIT: interesting sidebard - IIRC, Anna Nicole sexually abused the housemaid, so I guess she wanted some pussy also]... In such a relationship, I don't think you can bring this corny emotional arguments about how the wife always deserves some of the money, because that hardly applies in this case. What you have to look at is the law, and the law says that what's explicitly stated in someone's will is what is eventually carried out. Anna Nicole had no mention in any of the old man's 6 wills. Therefore, she gets nothing. She's recovered from her mid-1990's depression, and probably has more money that most of you will see in your life. No need to feel sorry for her; save the sypathy for someone who deserves it.

The day the U.S. government starts ignoring what's stated in people's wills, is the day that it's time for a new government 😛

This thing looks like its going to blow up (no pun intended) like the Elian thing. I think we all acknowledge that she married him on purpose and he most likely knew that she wanted him for money; but that's still wrong. I bet the guy had someone else he actually LOVED that he could give the money to, not some skanky whore who is out to sucker senior citizens.

LOL - This was on TV a while ago and they played footage from the wedding, the old guy looked like he was about to have a heart attack with all the cameras flashing around him. Poor old guy probably thought he was being abducted...again.

It's hard to imagine that a gal that looks like her would marry and old man because she was in love. Isn't that what she claimed a few years ago? So if she married for love then she doesn't need money, besides she can bare it for Playboy again and make some of it back.

<< If there's any sanity left in the judicial process >>

LOL no hopes for me. IMO she's going to get some maybe not what she's claiming for but some.

I'm with Russ on this one, I mean come on - marriage or not - he DID have a will and she was NOT in it. By default she should not be entitled to anything except perhaps some of what he made over the 14 months (unless a pre-nup was signed).

And if she argues he was too senile to include her in the will, well then he was too senile to understand marrying her and what not. She is a scum-bag gold digger, not included in an existing will and she deserves nothing. And I hope that she is given nothing.

All I care about is the fact that she's single!

I kinda hope she doesn't get the money, tho . . . I've got a chance with poor, hot chicks. I don't know how much of a chance I've got with rich, hot chicks. 😉

AAAAAHHHAHHAHAHAHAHHAAHHAHA

She looked at that wrinkly body with $$$$$$$ dancing in her head. That old coot lied to her and got some for free!! He's still sticking it to her even though he's dead...HAHA!!

She'll be begging ol' Hugh for another shoot within a few months just because she needs a measly 10,000 a week to live...riiiiiiiight

That Judge should make her plastic butt get a job...hell, collect food stamps. Too much money is being wasted on people like that

Oh yea...the will

Like it's been said...there is one, she's not in it

Case is over before it began, how is this still going on?!?!?

"That Judge should make her plastic butt get a job..."

Err, I think that there is no plastic in that butt. It's all lard. 😉

<<If any of that were true, than why is she in NONE of his wills? By omitting her, he's made his intentions very clear. If she was too stupid to get a prenup to prove her assertions that he promised her half, well that's the breaks.>>

In 90% of the states if the spouse dies with a will then the will doesn't apply because of the marriage (I believe this is part of the community property statues). He would have known that. To override that after or before the marriage he would have had to get a pre-nuptial agreement. She isn't at fault for golddigging, he gave it all to her when he married her. If I remember the story correctly he married her for companionship because his family didn't give a damn about him. (And I remember the interview with him after right after they got married) She's got every claim to the money, if his family had treated him better he probably would have gotten a pre-nup.

Just to clarify, in most states the will doesn't apply in the case of marriage. All wealth automatically transfers to the spouse at death, doesn't matter if you have a will. The spouse must volluntarily sign away the rights to the monies to have that NOT happen. This can be done either through a pre-nuptial agreement or through a contract signed after mariage. But the will is a moot point and was drafted before the marriage and became insignificant after the marriage.

You've got it the other way around. If you die without a will, then some stuff will go to your spouse. If you have a will, everything is carried out according to it 😛

Nope, marriage over-rides wills, as stated the spouse must cede rights to have the will enforced. (this may be only true in community property states)

HE's a horney old man she's a gold digger he should of thught about this before he married her. Whoever get the money won't affect me i rather see her get the money more contreversey.
