I would love to see Buffy do one last cameo. Maybe a moment of true happiness together with Angel, where the prophecy comes true and Angel dusts. Would make for a nice ending.

That pretty much leaves Smallville as the only watchworthy programming on the WB for me.:frown:

When Buffy ended, I was tapped out and ready to send it off. When Firefly got the axe, I went into a state of denial so huge it may very well cause a movie. I'm so into these characters, these actors, the situations we're building... you wanna know how I feel? Watch the first act of "The Body."

As far as TV movies or whatever, I'm not thinking that far ahead. I actually hope my actors and writers are all too busy. We always planned this season finale to be a great capper to the season and the show in general. (And a great platform for a new season, of course.) We'll proceed ahead as planned.

I've never made mainstream TV very well. I like surprises, and TV isn't about surprises, unless the surprise is who gets voted off of something. I've been lucky to sneak this strange, strange show over the airwaves for as long as I have. I don't FEEL lucky, but I understand that I am.

Thanks all for your support, your community, and your perfectly sane devotion. It's meant a lot. I regret nothing (except the string of grisley murders in the 80's -- what was THAT all about?) Remember the words of the poet:

"Two roads diverged in a wood, and I took the road less traveled by and they CANCELLED MY FRIKKIN' SHOW. I totally shoulda took the road that had all those people on it. Damn."

I hadn't heard how long they were going to make that, just that they were. 6 hours, sweeettt

Of course that resulted pretty much soeley from fan protests about the abrupt ending and had nothing to do with the execs at Scifi. Hell, in that case they waited until literally the last day of shooting season 4 to tell the cast that was it. Pricks.

While the WB people appear to be either a) crash strapped or b) money grubbing, at least they had the decency to let an actual ending be worked into the storyline.

I also would love to see Sarah Michelle Gellar come back within the final few eps, if not the final one. Return what Boreanaz did when her show went off the air.

As for killing Angel himself, I don't think that'll happen. Too much potential for either a movie or spinoffs in comics and the like.

I loved the show. It definitely had it's highs and lows over the years and it will suck to see it go. The WB will need another sci-fi show to replace it, especially after the loss of Buffy a few years ago and now Angel.

He was Angel the vampire in "Buffy", now he's Angel the vampire in "Angel". So he's been a vampire for the better part of a decade, in two very popular series, and nothing else. Sounds type-cast to me.

He was the SAME character. That's not type-casting, that's just being on two shows as the exact same character. Not like they could have made an Angel show and have him suddenly be a midget wrestler.

At least the execs here are decent and are giving the creative team a chance to actually end things, unlike some other series which were just killed outright. (*coughcough*Farscape*coughcough*)

Least there's going to be a six episode mini-series to wrap the show up, which'll be cool.

Angel did not suck. Angel was an incredible show. If you watched it and thought it sucked, then our tastes differ, but your tastes are wrong. If you watched 10 minutes and decided it sucked cause it has vampires, then you're an idiot.

:beer: It's an involved show - full of hidden references, witty dialogue, a web of rules to the "buffyverse", and interesting character development that you don't understand until you watch a number of episodes. The first time I watched, I was confused, it made no sense... laugh at the bad kung-fu fighting, etc. Then I asked a fan what the hell I'd just watched and it started to make sense. It's like asking a non-CS person to look at C++ as a language... they'd laugh.

Best episode this season, in my opinion.

Good to see Fred and Wesley hooking up - she is adorable as hell.

I am not a big Buffy/Angel fan, however it is an entertaining show and I do watch it if I am home. The puppet episode tonight really was pretty funny. Anyhow it is a shame they are cancelling it; it is one of the few 'offbeat' shows out there. Guess they can fill the time spot with another 'reality' show.

This week's episode was very well done. Plenty of emotion and excellent writing. Gah, it bugs me to no end that the WB is cancelling this.:frown:
